"Disappointed"

Our family was very disappointed. Throughout our trip, only one of our beds was made and the bathroom was not cleaned. The door handle broke off and when we told the front desk, we were ignored and it was not fixed. They also got our breakfast order wrong.

@trudin2026 - contact davenport the management company! there is definitely something going on in that hotel. Zero cameras in hallway and although they can take the information off your hotel door key they will not release that information to you. Safe to say we were gaslit from security as well as GM. Sorry that they didn’t tighten access to rooms up after our stay in October 2025. For hotels I now bring a mini camera and I lock my suitcases. Bummer! I Also did a police report!

I have wanted to visit the WW2 museum in NOLA for some years and finally made the trip from the UK this January. Higgins Hotel is wonderful, bonus for me was it is part of the Hilton group so my Gold Hilton status gained me a room upgrade, thank you. Stunning decor , the 1940s theme is awesome, loved the hotel, room was excellent with convenient USB points for charging wonderful bath room and amenities. Food and service in all the bars and restaurants was excellent, Rosie's on the Roof being a 5 star recommendation for great views, good beer and food. Without a doubt one of the best hotels worldwide I have ever stayed in.

"our room was robbed"

Unfortunately our room was robbed at the Higgins Hotel while we were out. Our bags were rummaged through and several pieces of heirloom gold jewelry and two pair of Ray Ban sunglasses were taken. We reported this immediately to security, the management and filled out a police report. We have not been compensated for our losses and are disappointed with our experience with the Hotel Management. On reading other reviews, the same thing has happened in the past. People describe being out to dinner and their room being robbed of jewelry, sun glasses, air pods and even one incident where credit cards were stolen. One incident was in December of 2024, another incident was in February 2024. The hotel has key entry at the elevator but said they do not have cameras in the hallways. I can only wonder if these three incidents are connected by an inside job. Our family trip for a football game was really sad after we realized our room had been robbed. The WWII Museum is great but I would not stay at the Higgins Hilton.

"Perfect Location"

We went to New Orleans specifically to go to the WWII museum. The hotel is directly across the street from the museum, making it the perfect location. We spent four nights at the hotel. The room was spacious and clean and very quiet. Once inside the room, you didn't hear anything. The staff were friendly and always helpful. One member of the staff, Julia, in the Cafe Normandie was extremely professional, friendly and went out of her way to accomondate us. A parking garage is adjacent to the hotel. If you are going to the WWII museum this is definitely the place to stay.
