"Room for Improvement."

I stayed at this property for New Year’s Eve. While I was upgraded to a nice suite and the stay was pleasant, for the price there is room for improvement. For what I spent, I honestly should’ve stayed next door at the Waldorf. The “NYE meal” at Circa 55 was a disappointment. Rushed service and lack of attention. It felt as if they were more concerns with pushing guest through than delivering a memorable experience. I was also told that only the prix fixe option was available, and then watched as nearby tables ordered off the full menu. One glass of “complimentary” champagne with my dinner and never offered another cocktail. The lobster bisque’s emulsion was broken and visibly oily. The petite filet was maybe 4oz. Dinner was a let down. The property was also undergoing construction which , while hinted at in the app at booking, was drastically underplayed as to the extent of inconvenience. My Uber had to circle the block twice to find a drop off “entrance,” which then required me walking in through a side door, what felt like a service corridor, and some stairs before I could find the lobby. Yes, they had staff to direct me, but it set a sad tone from the start. The entire entry / departure process was so inconvenient I literally had my departing uber meet me at the Waldorf to make it less complicated. The upgraded suite was nice, but the empty space on the wall where a TV was shown in the app was a reminder of the incompleteness of the room. Amenities were lacking and bath toiletries you would expect in a luxury property were essentially absent. I recognize the property is iconic and as such, dated - in need of the makeover it is receiving. However, the experience for a major event like NYE was notably lacking in comparison to the expectations set by the properties online portrayal. Perhaps after the construction it will be worth the price and worth another chance… until then, I caution against this property - particularly considering other options in Beverly Hills. I typically enjoy every Hilton property and trust the brand, but in this case, Hilton could do far far better.

"Disappointing"

A really disappointing stay. Wish I had read the reviews earlier. The construction has really limited service, from valet and drop off to room service, and there was even a planned two hour power outage during dinner time which is insane for a hotel. But instead of trying to make up for its shortfalls the Beverly Hilton does nothing. There was little warning of a planned power outage and they did nothing but offer flashlights to guests. The staff is friendly and generally great so they are not to blame. All of these issues fall on management. Even when I asked for an umbrella during the current extreme storms happening in LA, staff said they weren’t allowed to. Their response to these issues seems to be to blame construction but the truth is they do nothing to mitigate the impact. They charge visitors the same prices for much, much less and just blame construction for their bad experience. I ended up moving to the Fairmont nearby and recommend everyone else does the same.

"The Beverly Hilton is modern, clean and spacious with nice amenities. Perfect for a family that wants a staycation"

The Beverly Hilton has very nice rooms with clean toilets. It also has an amazing view! The hotel staff were top notch with the basic amenities like a pool and a gym which were decent. However, do note that it is undergoing an expansion so sounds may be heard. I found that the bedsheets were a bit old but overall, kids and adults will enjoy this hotel.

"Turkey stay!!!"

Hi. We love this hotel , usually, but not this time. First I need to compliment the staff. They were all professional, hardworking and very personable. Thanksgiving dinner at Circa 55 was wonderful and a great evening. That’s about it. The info online about the renovations do not go into the extent of the chaos. It’s a freaking mess. The logistics to drive to the hotel is beyond crazy. The valets are trying hard to make sense of drop off but it is a mess to find it and hard to deal with. The whole place is not what it used to be and I believe that for the next 3-5 years it will not be worth the trip. No room service, no mini bar, no coffee pot. Truly not a one star for a 4-5 star hotel. Not a peep ahead of time about the extent of the chaos. When we checked in the clerk asked us if we wanted to cancel! Where we would go on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving after driving 7 hours to get there. We did change rooms to the other side away from the construction which was very nice. No compensation or credit for a very expensive hotel stay. We were very suprised at the lack of any information from management. Don’t stay there now. Find another location until it’s all done.
