"Lovely hotel"
TripAdvisor user rating 5.0 out of 5

We were just passing through town on a road trip and hated to leave this lovely hotel. The view from the patio was wonderful and my kids loved the fact we were so close to the ocean and the sunset view was amazing. We got in late in the evening and most local restaurants were closed so that was difficult. The room was clean and spacious with comfortable beds. The bathroom could use some updating and the toilet clogged when my son used it so hubby had to get a plunger. The sink is outside the restroom which is nice but the counter needs more space as most of it is taken up by the coffee machine. It was a nice touch that they use real towels that aren’t rough like other hotels. If we are ever in the area again we would stay here again.

Lovely lodge with great views! Stayed here on a road trip stop. Comfortable beds and pillows. Clean and updated. Quiet and quaint. Friendly front desk service. No dining on premises yet near by restaurants and cafes. I recommended it to friends who were also passing through Fort Bragg, CA.

"Beautiful location right on the ocean"

I wanted to share some feedback regarding a recent stay for my birthday. Check-in with Bridget was fast and easy, and she provided all the necessary information. We had an oceanfront room in the Whale Song building. I was impressed with the housekeeping; everything was spotless and fresh smelling. I would recommend this hotel for a nice little getaway! The location was close to nice restaurants and grocery shopping and glass beach. Bridget also informed us that we could rent bikes at the sister property next door. It was a short walk, and the bike rental was $8 an hour. Riding our bikes along the ocean made us feel like kids again, and I didn't crash once! I joked with Bridget that I would, so I made sure to let her know I made it back in one piece. The room came with a box fan, which was great since I'm a fan sleeper and didn't have to get mine out of the car! The black washcloths for removing make-up were also a genius idea! Thank you for the wonderful stay!

"We love this place. The location, the views, comfortable beds, and most important the cleanliness. ."

The views are wonderful. The beds are comfortable. The pillows are fluffy but supportive. It has a nice dorm size refrigerator that, thank goodness, has a freezer that is big enough to hold a small bag of ice or freezer packs to keep frozen for your ice chest. The room was very clean and roomy. I never bathe in a bathtub in hotels, but the tub was so clean it looked like brand new, so after a rainy, foggy day I felt very comfortable taking a nice hot soak. One thing that would make it better is to have 2 comfy chairs or a small couch. The rooms are a good size so there is plenty of room to accommodate this, but there is only one comfy chair in a room that will accommodate 4 quests. Very large TV if that is important to you.
