Summer Bay Orlando by Exploria Resorts in Clermont, FL

We had 2 bed room for a very great price in January 2026 and had 10/10 experience, it's a good location, and lots of activities for the kids even in the place itself. Great for families.

I live in Florida about 1 hour away and stay sometimes in Orlando for a week for Disney. I decided to try Summer Bay. Tamara helped with all my concerns and requests! She went above and beyond. When I got my parking pass they did not pressure my wife and I for a timeshare sales meeting. The resort is nice. Rooms are clean ( I own a cleaning buisness) and well stocked. Thanks!

This property is one of our favorites! The grounds are very well kept and clean and the rooms are exceptional. Great value for the price!

From the start of our check in we had issues. We had no working phones in our place and they said they would send someone but several hours later it had not been fixed and we had to keep driving to the front desk to address the various issues. We got all settled in and went to go to bed and pull out bed was broken and un useable! had to drive again to frond desks and they said they would send someone but could not give me time frame and it was 1030pm and we were tired from flying from west coast and long day!! had to argue about changing rooms. Refused to upgrade despite several trips (drive) to front desk for issues since we had no working phone. They finally changed our room and we had to repack and move again to the other end of the building and different floor to a room that smelled and did not have towels or bathroom supplies or blanket for pull out bed. Lastly at check out day we asked for late check out (which they gave till noon) but then out key cards were turned off at 10 am and we got locked out our room while we were loading our car. Did not have our car keys or phone so had to walk several blocks to get new keys and we were on a tight schedule to get to an appointment.

My husband and I recently stayed at Summer Bay. I researched a lot of resorts in the area and Summer Bay seemed to have the best amenities by far. We absolutly loved the resort! The good: Everything was immaculately clean, the walkways were cleaned daily, the lobby and pool areas were very neat and tidy and so was the recreation area. Almost all the amenities were within walking distance. We were in one of the farthest towers and we could still walk to the main lobby pool, mini golf, zip lining and other activities. It seemed like 1 pool (by the big kahunan bar) was heated, while the lobby pool was not. We did experience some bad weather during our trip so we couldn't enjoy all the amenities. We visited both bars during our visit and all the bartenders we encountered were great! The were very helpful and knew alot about the grounds. Location. You are within 10ish minutes to all the main restaurants. There is also a grocery store right outside the grounds. These are all reasons why we hope to visit visit again. The bad: THE BEDS! Do you like sleep? Then don't book here. I just went through a few reviews on here and a lot of people mentioned the beds. I wish I had seen that prior to booking because they were so awful that it really ruined our trip. We had 5 nights of absolutly horrible sleep. The matteress was firm and VERY bouncy. There was no padding on the top both my husband and I woke up with sore hips and shoulders. The room discription said it was a queen (which is wild when most places offer a king as a standard size) but it had to have been a full. It was small! By the middle of the 4th night my husband and I couldn't take it anymore and we tried to sleep in the 2nd bedroom. The blinds were broken and there were no curtains so it was very bright and people passing by could very clearly see in our room. Those beds were just as uncomfortable but felt slightly better with all the sheets still on top since we took our sheets from the main bedroom. The condo was updated and very clean but it's mindblowing that they wouldn't fix such a simple thing like the beds. It's that reason that I don't know if we would be returning. Certain amenities require permits or tests. They offer jetski's for an additional fee. You do need to take a Florida state boat rental test. It does mention that on their website so just be aware if you plan on doing the jetski's. Also, if you planned on going fishing you need a Florida fishing license to fish in the lake. You can only fish in the ponds without it and there doesn't seem like a safe place to fish in any of those ponds. The food. The website gives the illusion that there is a restaurant on site, there is not. Everything is more like fast food, take and go. We ate at the Big Kahuna bar, twice. The food was Ok. The tacos were good but the chicken sandwhich was disappointing. We would love to visit again but the beds desperately need to be replced.
