Spark by Hilton Grapevine DFW North in Grapevine, TX

I want to take a moment to say how wonderful my experience was during our stay. I can't begin to express how impressed I was with the entire staff from the Front Desk-Housekeeping right down to Management! The room was very clean and the service was outstanding!! I would recommend this Hotel to anyone and I know we will be back for another stay in the future!!

I recently had a deeply disappointing experience with Spark by Hilton Grapevine DFW North that I feel compelled to share as a warning to other travelers. Due to circumstances completely beyond my control, American Airlines canceled my flight, making it impossible for me to reach the hotel for my reservation. When I contacted the hotel to explain the situation and request a cancellation without penalty, I was met with rigid policies and a concerning lack of empathy. Despite providing documentation of my flight cancellation and explaining that this was an unforeseen circumstance, the hotel: Refused to cancel my reservation - Charged me the full amount for a room I physically could not use - Offered no alternative solutions or accommodation dates - Showed minimal concern for my situation as a stranded traveler What was most disappointing was the complete absence of customer-focused problem-solving. In today's travel environment where disruptions happen, I would expect a major hotel chain like Hilton to have policies that account for documented travel emergencies. Instead, I was treated as if I was simply changing plans on a whim. For travelers considering this property, be aware that if any emergency or travel disruption occurs—even with proof and advance notice—you may still be fully charged with no recourse. I've stayed at numerous hotels that have reasonable policies for genuine travel disruptions, but unfortunately, this wasn't one of them. The lack of flexibility and customer support I experienced is particularly disappointing from a brand that markets itself as providing exceptional hospitality. I'm now reconsidering my future hotel choices based on this experience.

This hotel was better than expected, based on recent poor reviews. I took a chance and stayed here because it was convenient to Grapevine, the price was right, and it was only a couple nights. I had to deal with several staff members concerning my diamond upgrade, extending my stay, and reserving the shuttle. Everybody was extremely nice. I was surprised in a good way. I will give this four stars. It is a Spark hotel and not a five-star hotel. It is a renovated Comfort Inn, but my room and bathroom was clean (clean tub and sheets). Everything is super basic though. The gym only has a few pieces of equipment, but it’s better than nothing. The breakfast was actually bigger than I have had another Sprak, and they had oat milk! My only complaint is I wish the airport shuttle started before 7 AM.

PLEASE save your money. This hotel is cheap for a reason. This is a deplorable hotel. It was converted to a Hilton property from a different hotel brand. The staff are extremely rude, the hotel is NOT Hilton quality even for its lower end brands. The staff do not honor Hilton loyalty and are not helpful at all. As a matter of fact they couldn't find our reservation but had not trouble pre-charging our credit card for incidential charges. The digital keys don't work, and they have little to offer in the way of snacks.

This is a former Comfort Inn that was turned into a Spark hotel recently. Even as a Hilton Honors member, I’d never heard of Spark. But, it had the best price of the DFW Hiltons that has a shuttle bus. I had read recent reviews and nearly cancelled. I’m glad I did not. First, I agree with some reviewers in that I wonder why Hilton has decided to include this type of hotel in their repertoire. It’s a very basic hotel, not really meant for a business traveler but for those looking for a bargain and don’t mind “builder’s grade”. Having said that, if you’re just looking for a place to sleep at a great price, this is it. Contrary to other reviews, I found the staff to be very pleasant, very accommodating, and focused on service. The room was basic but clean. Bed was comfortable. TV big with good channels and streaming-capable. Shower has plentiful hot water and great water pressure. Breakfast is mainly a bagel bar. I’m not into bagels, but I found something to break the fast. Coffee available at all times. Shuttle bus came to get me at the airport promptly and delivered me the next day as planned. Overall, for the price, worth it.
