Hotel Tampa Riverwalk in Tampa, FL

The property is about 4/10 of a mile from the convention center. It’s an easy, pleasant (admittedly sometimes hot) walk along the river walk. It is not as far as it might appear to the convention center. The hotel itself feels a little old and dated. It looks like they are trying to renovate the hotel to a certain degree, but it really does look quite tired. Some areas are worn in the rooms (caulk lines, curtains). That said, it’s certainly sufficient for business or conference attendance. I thought all the staff was friendly and attentive. The water pressure and water heat were excellent in the shower. The room air conditioners are OK. They tend to be a little on the loud side. I would not pay extra for a balcony on the city side. It doesn’t really gain you anything and the street can be loud. The hotel restaurant (Rivers Edge) was very good. We ate there for breakfast, lunch, and drinks. One recommendation for the hotel is to put a desk lamp on the desk with plugs. Most of us are here to do some kind of work and (in my room, anyway) there’s no place to plug a computer in when you’re sitting at the desk. The style of the desk furniture is such that the back is completely blocked, and the plug is some distance away. They need a light with some kind of power strip feature associated with it.

my wife parked our car with hotel parking crew that causea damage parking 717 which runs the parking will not allowe me to fix the car with authorize dealer 3 weeks and no one cares ! hotel crew will not call us and treat our claim with no respond shame on you

We had a great experience with Edgar who served us breakfast for several days. The staff at check-in was terrific. They were friendly and helpful. The bed and pillow situation is less great. The hotel is very well situated in downtown Tampa. Walking on the Riverwalk was a pleasure. It was great to have a balcony looking out on the river.

The hotel owners should be embarrassed and obviously don’t pay any attention to their properties. Everything in this hotel screams cheap and there is a complete lack of upkeep. Bathroom door didn’t shut - awkward when sharing a room with your teenage son; looks like someone took a hammer to the tile. Carpets are stained in the hallway, I have no idea what the orange speckles are in the green carpets…bleached, mold? Walls and ceiling are damaged. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because the view was good - completely out of their control at this point.

Went specifically for the Tuesday 4-7 pm bingo with Michele and Joseph behind the bar. Michele is a crowd pleaser with her contagious energy and sweetness getting everyone on the poolside to join in the fun! They both work well together taking care of customers. It’s free to play and there are prizes too! I’ll be sure to go again and bring others to join.
