"Tourist trap"
December 2019
There are plenty of tourist traps in Branson and this one takes the prize. Christmas light show is not worth $5, much less $25. Total rip off.

"Christmas Light Tour and Gift Shop"
December 2019
Our group was greeted upon arrival and there were wagons ready with plenty of blankets for keeping warm for us to ride through the light. The display was awesome and meaningful. Some antique displays which brought back childhood memories. Love the animation of the deer running through the forest. The Gift shop was amazing and the free hot chocolate that was offered there was so refreshing. The gift shop manager, Christina was so gracious and helped me out in a difficult situation. She went way above and beyond to help me! I would definitely go again to the lights and especially to the gift shop!!!

Tip: Dress warm if you're going in an open air ride through the lights. It is quite long and beautiful!

"Terrible"
November 2019
Waste of money. Paid $15 a piece to walk through terrible lights with creepy dolls and then $25 to drive through a 10 min light show with lights that didn’t pertain to Christmas, no music and more creepy boxes with dolls. Do not waste your time or money. Terrible ending to our weekend in Branson.

"So bad I'm Speechless"
November 2019
We have come down to Branson to tour the Trail of Lights for 16 years. This was our last year. Normally it is around a 45 min drive through the lights and is really awesome and enjoyable. This year it took 10 min. 10 min for $25! If you are looking for a nice drive thru christmas light display this should no longer be on your list. The new owners have really botched this one!

"Not worth the money"
November 2019
They charged 25.00 for car load even though there was only 2 of us in car. Stated sorry because all the rain they did not get all done. Wrong they did not even get half done. You get 5 minutes of lights for $25.00 and a free ticket to come back next year. Hopefully the money we paid will pay for more and better lights. Liked the old Christmas lights they had before. Not worth it now.

"The Trail of Creepy Boxes"
December 2018
I have heard that the trail of lights were great but I went and found out otherwise. The trail was more boxes with creepy dolls inside than lights. The trail is very narrow. The lights that were there had problems of their own. Many were not working properly. Would not recommend to anyone.

"String of lights, pot holes, and boxes with scenes"
December 2018
2018 Holiday Trail of Lights. Or string of lights, pot holes, and boxes with various holiday scenes. Some are animated, others are static. I can see time and detail went into creating some of them. My Wife found a few of them quite interesting. I just wouldn't call it a trail of lights.

The lights themselves were very basic and dated. It's all about the boxes. Which in themselves are rather dated.

The trail itself is a long winding "road" going up the hill. This is a fairly narrow road for which hasn't been maintained in a long time. Granted, I'm driving a vehicle with low profile tires. I found I spent the entire drive crawling and dodging pot holes. Some are seriously deep and could do damage to wheels if you aren't careful.

It's also rather dark. You'd think being a trail of lights that wouldn't be a problem. But I noticed quite a few people getting confused finding the place and trying to negotiate some tighter turns. I personally didn't have a problem, but I can see where it could be an issue for some.

There's also promise of hot chocolate if you want to park, go inside, and wait through more lines. Honestly, for $25 (per car load), I wouldn't go again. Once again, my wife found a bit more interest. It's just not worth the cost.

We were staying at a condo on the lake so this was close by and we decided to stop in there one day To do the observation tower and ended up spending a few days there. We ziplined and saw two shows. We were at on their 60th anniversary show. Holy cow it was really neat. One of the guides told us that they were the best adventure park in America according to USA today two years running.

"Beautiful story well presented"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5
Reviewed August 04, 2020 NEW
I have read the book so was hoping the story was portrayed true, it truly was. It is a beautiful story well presented. The set, the actors, the music all wonderful. Worth the time and price of admission. I do wish the social distancing had been better, please ask questions and understand what measures they are taking if you are concerned. We asked to be seated in the social distancing section and were disappointed that only two seats were left between parties. They did leave the seats behind and in front empty. There was no social distancing in the trolleys. The dinner that you may include is not NOT worth the time or price. Just go to the restaurant. I would definitely do the play again.

"Outdoor drama"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5

My favorite outdoor play. The drama depicts a story of families in the area at the turn of the century. Seating is close to the action. We had a physical problem with our seats, so they quickly moved us to a row closer to the front. Staff was wearing masks. There are restrooms and concession stands in the theater area. Saw this play 54 years ago so it always is a special activity for me.
