"Under 48 inchesdon’t bother"

This was a bad experience for us. My son is about 45 inches and just short of the 48 inches they require for all of the water slides. We had recently gone to a bigger water park, water, country, USA, in Williamsburg, Virginia. He was able to ride most of the water slidesthere. It seemed unfathomable that at a water park there would be no options for him other than baby rides. When I said something to their customer service department, they were rude and tried to blame it on us like we should have seen it online before buying the tickets online. Very disappointing as my son had really started to like water rides, but this place had nothing available for him except for baby rides.

"Not worth the money"

Very sad and disappointed at the decline here. 25$ for parking when there are really no other options especially for those with disabilities who need to park close, then expect to pay 30$ to park. Considering the price of admission even with a discount I would expect the park to be operating but half the rides (lazy river which is why I went and at least four slides ) were closed. The food stands were “out of” salt and all vending machines were out of order. Only one food stands even had ice available ! I realize it’s the end of the season but if you do not have the supplies or staff to operate then close ! I hope Dolly fixes this place since her company now owns it and kennywood and makes it more accessible and worth the money!

"Closed rides and pools on a busy day, and extremely unprofessional lifeguards."
TripAdvisor user rating 1.0 out of 5
Reviewed August 16, 2025 NEW
Very bad experience. More than half of the rides are closed and the lines are insanely long for the open ones. I literally need to wait more an hour for a simple ride!! Besides the lazy river is not even open as well, which makes me extremely disappointed. The pool is extremely crowded, and lots of kids diving in it and the lifeguards didn’t even care. I don’t understand why they close up more than half of the equipments on such a busy day which is ninety degrees outside. Overall a terrible experience totally ruined my day. Literally a waste of money and time!

"Season Pass"
TripAdvisor user rating 1.0 out of 5
Reviewed July 20, 2025
If you do not have a season pass, I would not buy one to sandcastle. They tell you that you have a discount on things at the park. Well, if you reserve a cabana online you do not have a discount. They said on their website that they do not pay the discount. hidden in some fine line. In fact, after this season I would not purchase another season pass to sandcastle and I would not encourage anyone to purchase a season pass from sandcastle.
