"NEVER SERVED ANY FOOD"

We were NEVER SERVED ANY FOOD during our 2-hour Tea Train and could barely get water. About 30 minutes after boarding we were given hot water but no tea bags. We eventually found our own. Refills of hot water, cream, and drinking water required chasing down staff. After 45 minutes we began asking where the food was, while people in another section of the car had already ordered and eaten their meals. Staff kept saying the food would come "soon." It never did. At 1 hour 45 minutes the staff disappeared, and the train returned to the station at 2 hours. No food and no explanation. I had to insist on speaking with a manager and got a refund. I still don't understand how this could happen.

"Waste of money, no food given at all even though paid for it"

This was for the afternoon tea experience, and it was absolutely horrible and a complete waste of money. About 15 minutes in we received a pot of water, but it took another 45 minutes before we were finally given Twining and Stash tea bags, and even then there was no milk or cream. The teapot kept tilting and had a tea candle to keep it warm. No food was served at all, so the jam placed on the table had nothing to go with it. A table across from us asked the apparently one main server when the food would arrive and were simply told "sorry." What made it worse was that no one explained what was going on. The wait staff should have gone to each table to explain why we didn't receive what we paid for. Instead, multiple staff members just kept walking past everyone without saying anything. In the end, it was basically $100 per person for a couple cups of tea.

""The Great Train Robbery of '26""

While I enjoyed the company of my friends, this train ride was a DISASTER from the beginning. Signage for the venue was adequate, while signage for parking was not! The walk from the parking lot to the train entrance was rocky and hard for older guests to maneuver. The train was at least 7+ cars long, there was only 1 entrance, so we had to walk between cars. The mats between cars were completely INADEQUATE. Once we reached our designated car the booths that seat four were spaced very close making it uncomfortable to sit/visit/eat for the duration of the trip. We were not served ANYTHING for 45 minutes once seated. There was 1 bottle of prosecco for 8 guests. Once we were served, there were three 1" x2" sandwiches per person, a scone that was very good and 1 Madeline cookie per person. Various teabags were in a basket at every table, but we waited for 20 minutes to get our hot water refreshed. This would have been fine had it been $20 per person, but it was $100 per person. This ride should be renamed "The Great Train Robbery of '26". Don't waste you hard earned money!

We were sad to see that the anual trip was not what it has always been. No Santa, no games, no music… it was a sad train ride in comparison to our past few years.
