Quality Inn View of Lake Powell - Page in Page, AZ

There is absolutely nothing of quality to be found in this property. We requested a second floor room with a view and on arrival we were told that unless we paid a further $35 we would be in a standard room on the ground floor with a scruffy patio covered in cigarette butts four feet from parked cars. We were told they were doing maintenance on the pool and we would be updated when it was open. It never opened that day or the next and judging by the condition of it I would be extremely surprised if it had ever been open anytime recently ! The water was a putred green. In the room, the carpet was filthy, the furniture was chipped and damaged, patio doors bent and damaged, the wiring was exposed and dangerous, the air con unit was badly fitted with gaps around it that a cat could of walked into the room through, and the walls around the a.c. Were pitted black. The whole decoration was diabolical and did not look as though it had been painted in a very long time. We had mismatched pillows with one being yellow. I cannot understand why the hotel is called The ‘ Quality Inn View of Lake Powell ‘ when you do not get any view at all unless you upgrade. ( This should have been explained clearly at the time of booking ) The night we stopped there were only two cars on the side with views and some 16 where we were. There was a Travelodge with balconies overlooking the Quality Inn charging Half of what we had paid. We had stopped in the Motel 6 in Page 2 nights previously and in comparison this was a palace and again half price to what we paid. So for what we had paid for The Quality Inn, we were expecting a level of quality beyond what we found. It was so bad that we complained to the staff that we wanted refunding immediately on arrival and we were told to complain to our booking agent ‘Hotels. Com‘ We spent 20 minutes calling them and to be fair they did contact the property only to be told that “ the rooms had been cleaned and inspected “ prior to our arrival. Such a shame that Hotels.com believed the hotel before the customer ! In conclusion my advise would be, not to ever book this hotel and stay as far away from this place as possible. It is run by a bunch of liars who have absolutely no standards whatsoever.

The Quality Inn View of Lake Powell Page was very run down, old and poorly managed. I should read the reviews on Travel Advisor before I booked here. The picture of the mountain view make you think all rooms have this view. Property has 2 floors but no elevator. Patio door didn't work. Bathtub haven't been scrubbed for a while cause you can see the dirt ring. Electrical outlets were sticky. Poor paint job. Never been to such a dirty hotel before and we travel extensively.

Check in was chaos. The online booth was very hard to use or understand and the map they showed of how to get to your room was impossible to follow. We found several guests lost trying to find their rooms. The TV did not work. Even at 10pm, the reception area was still chaos. Neither the person on reception or the online booth was able to assist us with the TV issue. Breakfast was very basic - based on other reviews I am assuming there were other options that ran out and just left us with eggs to eat. The room was dated but clean. Complained about the TV issue again at check out (chaos again) and still waiting for a response from the hotel. I can see others reporting their TVs did not work so I assume this is a common problem.
