"Absolutely not"

The outside is the nicest thing going for this hotel. Both coming in and leaving, there was no staff at the desk and didn't seem to be in a rush to deal with check in. The bed had a huge lump. I have never seen anything like it in a hotel room. The room spelled completely like mildew/mold. I didn't need to sleep there and I wouldn't have.

One week ago on the dates of 8/9-8/10 i and several of my friends and guests stayed at this Quality inn 107 North Carter Rd Ashland,VA. The front desk service was very poor, there was no one at the front desk over an hour at check in, multiple people had complaints about their room cards not being programmed to enter their rooms. One guess changed hotels because his first floor room had "BLACK MOLD". The room that I was in on the first floor apparently has "BLACK MOLD" because since leaving I have to currently been extremely sick which as of this makes 7 days. After further investigation of how I got sick,it leads back to this Quality Inn. Also to note the management when finally showing up to the front desk showed lack of wanting to help certain customers and expressed verbally racism. There will be future follow up and legal actions will be filled due to neglect actions under health and hazardous conditions.

"Mold-Infested Horror: An Uninhabitable Dump You Must Avoid"

Stay far away from this dump—these rooms are utterly uninhabitable. The moment you crack the door, a blast of moldy rot slaps you in the face. And don’t mistake it for the usual musty AC funk—this was pure water damage left to fester. In the middle of the room sat the TV cabinet…with a sticky mouse trap plastered on its side, proudly displaying a colony of giant, dead bugs. The air conditioner was caked in dust and grime, clearly never given so much as a cursory wipe‑down. The wallpaper in the hallways bubbled and peeled away from moisture, a grotesque patchwork of neglect. To top it all off, the elevator didn’t even work—because why wouldn’t it be broken in this grotesque place? This is hands‑down the grossest hotel I’ve ever seen. It doesn’t belong in the Choice network and desperately needs a health inspection before someone actually gets sick here. Seriously—don’t book this hotel under any circumstances.

"Just don’t even bother"

Piece of junk. Ac Bailey works. Toilet was broke. Light switches painted over. Vending machines broke. Won’t touch the ice machine. Rude staff if you can find one. Just don’t. There are places near by. Haven’t seen breakfast but at this point I don’t trust it.

The hotel is worn and beat up. Breakfast is serviceable, at best, but the staffer was working hard. The desk staff is just checking boxes but plenty nice. The exit stairwell was filled with bedframes, which is bound to be a fire code violation. It is an easy drive to a nice park (Washington Lacy) with pleasant walking trails and is very convenient to the Henrico Sports and Events Center down the highway.
