Close to activities and restaurants. Pool and slide were great for the kids. The Voyager 47 lounge was worth it for our family because it made breakfast super easy and convenient. Tessa and her crew in the lounge were fantastic…super friendly at dinner and gave great recs.

The outrigger has an amazing resort in Kona. The staff there are just incredible. They all take the time to create a personal relation with the guests and always remember your name. You can tell they are truly happy to be there and ensure a great experience for all. I was there for my partners sisters wedding and they did a phenomenal job at make sure all events for the wedding were spectacular. We cannot wait to stay again at the outrigger. Faith at the breakfast cafe bar is the BEST! She always took care of us and took the time to really get to know us.

"Great Value, Service, and Location. Would stay again."

Going by TripAdvisor's recommended guidance Location: 5/5 Atmosphere: 4/5 Rooms: 4/5 Value: 5/5 Cleanliness: 4/5 Noise Level: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Amenities: 5/5 Food 3.5/5 We stayed at Outrigger for the 1st time 4/9/26 on a Costco Package, and we had a great time. This is the 4 the trip to Hawaii and this was by far our best stay, though in fairnessm, our most expensive stay. We stayed 4 nights in room 4264 near the parking lot facing the tennis courts. 2/4 nights the noise level was outstanding, one ok , and one poor as we had to wait for a wedding to goto sleep. Costco included $350 of hotel credit which we utilized for decent food. Staff were generally friendly. We also loved the location close to 3 outstanding snorkeling spots, 2-Step, Kahaluu Beach , and Captain Cook monument (a difficult hike back up though with 1300ft of climbing). The package from Costco included a rental car for approx $1830 for 4 nights/five days, and the $350 room credit put it well over the top of outstanding value. Thanks to Sarah of Outrigger at check-in for her excellent service and attention too. If you have a Costco membership, recommend taking advantage.

"Nice family resort to relax"

The outrigger in Kona is newly renovated. We have stayed here a few years back when it was the Sheraton and in need to some updates. Outrigger has done a nice job with the updates to the property. However do be aware there is still construction and we had to deal with the constant beeping from construction machines from our room from 8-5pm. The views are spectacular and there is access to beach near by. My kids were disappointed that the pools are no longer connected as there is now an adult pool. The activities on site are great and good learning experiences. The voyager 47 is great and provides a good breakfast and lite dinner. Lots to do around the resort which options. The facility is also wheel chair accessible which was important for us this trip. A couple of items to note check in can get really busy we waited over 30 minutes in the check in line additionally our check in person seemed a bit frazzled and for got a new items in our reservation package. There were easily cleared up by contacting guest services. All staff members we encounter were friendly and warm. We would return again

"Outrigger Club V47"

I really enjoyed the time we had at Outrigger Kona, I’d recommend the V47 ‘club’ as an add on (especially considering the main restaurant is under construction). The morning and evening offerings were varied and well done for a continental style meal. Shout out to Tessa, Sharlaine, Pua and Braulio on the club team. They were all so friendly and engaging in being great hosts of the island. Mahalo!
