I could not believe the value I paid for what we got . My birthday fell on the same day that lunar new year was being celebrated in Chinatown and I just wanted to stay close by tocelebrate. The hotel was perfect in location just a few blocks away from Chinatown and down the street from the common. I really love that we complementary drink tickets and vote for breakfast. The bar staff was super friendly and the breakfast was pretty good. I highly recommend staying at the Moxy. Incredible value, incredible view, and incredible service.

Pros: the location is good. Whilst I begrudge the resort fees, you do get the money back to spend in the hotel on drinks/food etc (although it doesn’t buy much as the food and drinks are very expensive!). Shower was nice and powerful. Cons: rooms are tiny, much too small for a couple. Bedding constantly comes off the bed. Towels are tiny. Rooms are extremely noisy from the street below - I’ve never stayed anywhere as noisy. We were also charged the wrong amount as a security hold. We were told $225 but the amount taken was $590. This money was physically taken rather than this being a hold. When questioned why this was, we were told it’s an old system and sometimes it happens. We have been assured that we will get this money back but we haven’t seen it yet.

I got harrassed out of my hotel room for the smell of cannabis when i never smoked inside despite being a medicinal marijuana patient and allowed legally to be able to carry cannabis. Additionally the hotel staff threatened my arrest and the cops showed up and i was entirely within my rights and not able to be arrested despite their threats! They then proceeded to force me out of the room and refused to allow me to carry 2 bags full of over 100$ worth of glass bottles i was using for an art project.

There is so much I can say about this place! Hands down one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at for in boston! Let’s start with the staff and crew from the moment I checked in on Friday 1/16/2026 they were nothing but friendly, nice and very very helpful! I’m talking about EVERYONE! The maintenance guy, the cleaning crew I mean EVERYONE! The next day we woke up tried to take a shower, but unfortunately something wasn’t working, Called the front desk and told them, no problem was moved to a higher level and they moved us FAST! No wait thank you guys for that! Also the food was good, and the service was THE BEST! I’m from the south and I’m all about hospitalit! And let me tell you GOGO & JACKIE made me feel so welcomed and made me feel like I was at my local bar! Correct me if I’m wrong but I think the bar manager was a gentleman with tattoos and a mustache, my wife and I stopped him and wanted to tell him about the GREAT SERVICE GOGO and JACKIE gave us and how they made us feel welcomed, and he just looked at us and was waiting for us to say something bad about them behind the bar, didn’t like that! I hope he told them what I said about them because they deserve to know that they made my wife and I felt very welcomed! When I come back this is definitely where I will be staying AGAIN! Hope to see you guys again! Thank you for the kindness and the great service!!
