Magic Village Yards Trademark Collection by Wyndham in Kissimmee, FL

This property is not what we thought it would be. When researching this property online, some people describe it as a “resort”, and others refer to the property as “luxurious 3- and 4- bedroom townhomes with full concierge services in a gated resort community.” I wish it had been either of those. There is no vacation vibe associated with this place. It felt like we were staying in an apartment complex. Some units clearly had people permanently living there as a lot of units had Christmas decorations, lights hanging from the balcony and Ring cameras installed. Our unit had a run-down, outdated feel to it with ripped screens, dirty windows and a very blah-looking interior. The living room furniture was old and worn, and the TV channel selection was abysmal. We had plumbing issues: no hot water would come out of a couple of the sinks, toilets had very weak pressure to flush, and our freezer was leaking onto the kitchen floor. Although there is a gate to enter the property, there is no security here. The exit side is always open. One night on our way in, we saw two individuals get dropped off and just walk through the open exit side. A few positives: the kitchen appliances were newer and nice, the unit was spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the people in the clubhouse/lobby were polite and helpful and maintenance responded in a timely manner to our plumbing problems. It is located close to Disney parks and easy to get to grocery stores.

We had a 4 bedroom villa which easily accommodated 7 of us. The villa is spacious and well equipped and was exactly as the website's walkthrough. Our villa was at the front of the resort (7662) and despite being close to the road there was very little noise and no one had any issues being disturbed at night. Parking was not an issue even though we had two cars, there was a dedicated parking space out front and several unallocated places next to it. The location is excellent for the Disney parks with all of them easily within a 15=20 min drive (Universal is approx. 30-40 mins depending on the I4 roadworks). The kitchen was well equipped and used frequently for quick breakfasts. The laundry room was a god-send (great from returning from water parks and beach days). A small bottle of washing up liquid and a sachet for the washing machine are provided. Our only recommendations for the resort to consider are; Provide a mop for any spillages on the tiled floor (only a vacuum and broom were present) An additional tea towel would be handy (1 towel isn't sufficient). Also note there were no plugs for the sink in the kitchen and the laundry room. Other than those minor issues I would highly recommend this resort and would certainly return. The staff we encountered were friendly and willing to help with any questions or enquiries we had.

We wanted to be near to Disney and this venue was perfect for us as all the parcs were easy drives though the US 192 is a busy road. We were a family of six(6) so having a 3 bed condo was perfect. All our rooms were en suites, and if you wanted to cook Wal mart is about a 10 minute drive for your shopping needs. We also had an outside bbq and hot tub. There are parts that could do with repair such as broken floor tiles, and the umbrella’s at the pool need replacing as they are broken. We had an issue with the fridge freezer having a leak so not sure if they did look at the issue as we had the problem for a couple of days before it stopped There is no bar by the pool and we couldn’t see anywhere we could order food which would have be a positive. Plenty of places to eat within a 5 minute drive. I can only comment it met our needs but it’s not cheap for what you get, would we return ? That’s another question.
