"The hotel staff made up for the bad customer service from t he front desk clerk."

I would like to recognize the security staff and the food/bar staff. Kim was a great staff member for the food/bar area. She made me feel at home with laughs . conversation and recommendations about the area. On the flip side the person at the front desk, I think her name was Esha, was rude and unwelcoming to say the least. From the time I set foot in the door to check in she was very callous as if she didn't want to be there. I had an issue with my room being next door to some loud guests, I packed up and went down stairs to ask for another room and "Esha" had the worst attitude. I told her my issue, she looked at me rolled her eyes, said a smart comment before taking my keys and giving me another room. She left the keys on the counter, rolled her eyes and walked away and didn't say "we apologize for the inconvenience" or anything to that effect. I get to the room, unpack, and try to turn the TV on and the remote didn't work. I took the remote back downstairs and asked for batteries, and she rolled her eyes again, made a comment "don't you have a phone in your room? You could have called", rolled her eyes and called the maintenance guy to bring her some batteries. The guy who brough the batteries apologized for any inconvenience but Esha just rolled her eyes and walked away. Everyone was hospitable except the person running the front desk, Esha. Her customer service is unacceptable and she could use a training session or several on customer service. Maybe she should consider not being on the hospitality staff at all. I spoke with several people who work there and they corroborated that she treats everyone like that.

Terrible experience. I really thought it was a nice place to stay it was like staying in a project. My 10 year old son found crack in the pool while multiple kids were swimming.

"Nice quick stay"

La Quinta Springfield located very close to downtown was a pleasant experience. Check in was quick and we were greeted with friendly staff. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Shower had plenty of hot water. Hotel offers a bar and pool. Would definitely consider staying here again if we should come through Springfield again.

Everything about this stay was great! The hotel is clean and inviting, the room very comfortable and relaxing! The art decorations are calming and serene. The room was clean from the bedroom to the bathroom! The clean, fresh smell is always great!
