Wow. We traveled from out of state for a Dallas Cowboy game, picking this part of Dallas due to convenience. It was a bad choice! The hotel is super, super grungy. Multiple carpet stains in the hallways, hotel rooms, patched and repainted holes in the hotel walls, etc. Even the elevator had the metal box hanging off the elevator wall~the first day it was duct taped on, the second day it was just dangling. I understand that hotels charge more for popular events, but charging over $200 a night for this place is criminal. That said, I'm only writing the review because upon check in I was told that the hotel needed to charge my card for incidentals, which is typical, and the amount would be refunded upon checkout. We did not purchase anything at the hotel. When we checked out, there was NO ONE at the check out desk so we walked out. The "incidental charge" was never reversed and refunded. I've now called multiple people to request a refund and no luck to date. After asking to speak with a manager, with no luck, and no one is refunding the money. The hotel is saying that it was a "hotel service fee" charge and will not refund it. Choice Hotels will not refund the money as it's a "local" issue. Very frustrating.

"Very clean room, but some things for mgmt to work on"

My family and I recently had a stay at the Comfort Suites Arlington (4 people total). Overall, it was decent value for the money, and location in the DFW area was very good. I liked the single winding entrance from 411 Road to Six Flags W for better parking lot security (no access from the I-30 feeder, which was good from my point of view). The room, beds and the bathroom were very clean and spotless; hats-off to the cleaning crew; we left tips for them! Also, A/C was working very well, and black-out blinds were good. The little room refrigerator also worked well, as did the flat screen TV (Dish Network programming). However, some issues for Management to consider in the following areas, especially considering the $3.99 "hotel services fee" added to each night's stay: (1) the lighting in the bathroom was not that good; you get two 60/75-watt equivalent bulbs on either side of the mirror... combined with the dark brown tile in the shower/bathtub area (and no light over the tub area), this could be a problem for some people who need more brightness while using the facilities. (2) the layout of the suite room we booked was odd: beds are first when you enter, and then the couch/visiting area was at the back of the room... clearly not something that can change; not sure if all suites are like this or not. Some travelers might not like that type of layout. (3) ice machine was out of order on our floor, and looked like it was a permanent thing due to the printed sign placed in the middle of the access door. (4) one of the elevators was non-working. In talking with another hotel guest, there were some recent electrical issues where BOTH elevators were out of order, and guests had to use the stairs. Management should fix the elevator/electrical issue immediately. (5) breakfast overview: rated as acceptable & could use improvement. The coffee, juice selection, hot scrambled eggs, toast, yogurt selection and waffle maker were good. However, the sausage was hard and chewy, as if they'd been re-heated more than once over a period of days... this was quite disappointing as the second hot protein item. Kitchen staff (1 person) was unable to comment on this.

"Worst experience"
TripAdvisor user rating 1.0 out of 5
Reviewed June 11, 2025
The worst experience I ever had at a hotel. The first night we got there, the toilet in our room was broken so they moved us to a new room. The new rooms air conditioning was broken and it was so hot in the room. The next morning we let the front fest know about the issue and they said that they will send someone to repair it. We were gone the whole day and when we came back in the evening, it was not fix and felt even hotter. We called the front desk and they said that there was nothing they could do, they couldn’t move us to another room. We got a partial refund for our trip. I will never stay at a comfort suite again.

"Avoid at ALL COST!"

Avoid at all cost! 1250 at night and the Owners think it’s okay to sit out at the pool and Party! Not sure WHY they think it’s okay, I wouldn’t stay here if you expect to get some rest! 2nd night in a row that they’ve been partying! You pay for a place to relax and end up in a place where the owners don’t care about their guests! You can tell the front desk and you get “It’s the owners we can’t do anything about it! Added bonus.. the phone in the room doesn’t work! Avoid at ALL COST!

"Early check out fee."

We checked out early and were charged an "early check out fee" that was not in the policy when we checked in or when we made the reservation. My company will not be using Choice Hotels in the future. We have checked out of hotels many times in the past and have never been charged a fee for not using a room...
