"TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE!!!!"

TERRIFYING EXPERIENCE!!!! I arrived at midnight on 2nd april 2026 for 3 nights to a back entrance No signs Found lifts I went to 1st floor thinking that must be where reception was Only to find a construction site My heart stopped I was absolutely terrified I went back outside in the complete dark found a man valet Who showed me where to go I was met at reception by a man who grunted at me I think I'd woke him up I was in room 444 not great bottom of bath black Next day I went an booked into The Wonderful Barrymore Riverwalk hotel Where my friend was staying I asked to come and witness what I was seeing was right As I couldn't believe for a Hilton hotel Plus pictures on website We spoke to Assist manager Who informed us the hotel is under construction No swimming pool No gym No one in formed us that construction was happening For a lone traveller disgusting treatment I asked a lady for some milk sachets for coffee machine She said No but would sell me milk I refused and bought Coca-Cola at $6 I ended up booking into the Barrymore hotel byt leaving my case at the Hilton

"The photos on the website are far from what is actually what the rooms look like."

The hotel is going through a renovation so I want to start with that. In taking that in consideration, I will say that either the look of the rooms will be what they hip they will look like or what they looked like 5-7 years ago. The renovations will last through the end of November 2026 according to the website. The bar is open at minimum availability. The food is not at all a selection, as a Diamond member that gets benefits like no fees and a food credit, it really does not benefit overall. I hope that it will become a better hotel for the future as the location looks to be amazing.

We could not of asked for better Service from the valet to the front desk where we were greeted by Jose, who welcomed us with a smile to riverwalk. He took very good care of us and was very friendly.

This hotel is under construction - which was not disclosed prior to us arriving. The rooms are nasty the pool is closed. And they are still charging full price!
