The place is going through some upgrades but the restaurant and pool bar made up for any shortcomings, Joseph was awesome.

First of all, we want to thank Vincent and one of the managers Valerya for their kind help upon checking in. The area is within less than a mile of walking distance to a lot of sites in downtown...just 1/2-mile strole down the Riverwalk to the Tampa Art Museum (worth an hour's tour). We'd booked a king room with balcony, so we'd have a view of the Riverwalk. However, our view was of the nasty looking entrance/lobby roof...if you stood out in the far-left corner you could see a bit of the water. Our room was one flight up and was clean and comfortable...however, since it was next to the ice machine there were regular clunks as it operated. Otherwise, the room was quiet. Oddly enough there was no seat lid on the toilet which meant in the small bathroom you needed to be careful nothing fell in! And the faucet knobs on the sink practically required a wrench to turn them. The shower itself was good. The pool area was nice for relaxing with a cocktail before or after dinner. The lobby was large, airy, comfortable and was probably the only area which had been updated in a long time. You could see signs of wear and tear everywhere...even the elevator floor was coming apart. Hopefully renovations are scheduled because the location is great.
