Homewood Suites by Hilton Santa Maria in Santa Maria, CA

Bed and sheets are rough. Pillows are horrible. Hair on the light switch. Floor was not vacuumed. Do not stay! Headboard had nasty stuff on it. I don’t wanna know what it was. The drapes are torn that I thought it was spider webs when opening. Do not stay here. Avoid at all cost!

Reception was horrible I was not notified about the renovations and after driving 4 hours all the receptionist could say was you can cancel… i couldn’t believe she said that after we just informed her of how long it took us to arrive, her customer service was unprofessional, didn’t even offer to accommodate with free parking. This hotel didn’t even have pool accessible or gym. This was the worse vacation experience never again will we use this hotel.

The Verdict Yes, the renovations mean some of the usual hotel perks aren’t available right now, but what this place lacks in a working bar, it makes up for in incredible service. Corinna and Roman alone are worth the stay—throw in the comfortable rooms and the promise of a fully upgraded hotel in the near future, and you’ve got a winning combination. So, would I stay here again? Absolutely. And if Corinna’s working the front desk, I might just never leave.
