The hotel was very nice, we stayed in a room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard, with a really nice view of the courtyard and with the doors open you could hear the relaxing sound of the foutain. The hotel has a ton of history and Michael at the front desk was super knowledgeable and and also helped with ammenities in the hotel and booking time in the sauna, details about the pool, the little shop and the what was in the area neighborhoods. The Hotel is very convenient to the Metro Red Line, with the Santa Monica stop across the street that made it easy to get to all points in LA. We were expecting to be in town for one night, but the area had so much going on and the hotel had a nice vibe that we extended our stay for an additional night. The hotel get a big thumps up for history and location. It is an older hotel, and not a generic "chain hotel" with all the newest everything, but it was fun to stay here for the experience, we look forward to staying here again on our next visit to LA.

"Consider your lungs and your feet before booking!"

Absolutely disgusting! The AC vent was so clogged with dirt, dust, and grime that I turned off the AC upon entering the room. There were spots all over the walls under black light that made my skin crawl. Additionally there were quite a few hairs left in the tub, on the toilet, counter-tops, and bathroom sink. I considered sucking it up and staying and possibly taking a shower wearing my crocs but after about 10 minutes, I decided it was best to find a different hotel and promptly checked out. I chose this hotel because it was the closest option to CHLA and my son was booked for heart surgery the next morning. On their website it noted that they had a cleanliness award which is important when you have a child with health issues. Furthermore, they advertise that they have a hotel restaurant and bar which upon checking in, I was told that it will be ready next year and that it is in the works. It was an absolute let down and false advertising to say the least.

Most staff are lovely. As expected from a basic hotel, few things not right, non working light, shower not moveable etc, but room was clean, breakfast expensive but lovely.

Pil at the front desk was great! He was very accommodating at check in. Cute boutique hotel in the Hollywood area.. I would stay here again!
