If I could give a ZERO rating, I would. This is the absolute worst hotel experience I have ever encountered. After traveling since 3:30am and being at an event all day, we arrived at the hotel and it took 45 minutes to check in although the hotel was contacted in advance to ensure a smooth check in process for everyone. The young lady who was assisting our check in seemed new and she did her very best, but she needs more training. This is not her fault, but definitely a reflection of the management at this hotel. The man working the desk next to her finished with the single guest he was checking in but then did not offer to help her while he saw her struggling. After finally checking in, we quickly dropped off our bags and headed to our dinner reservation-which due to the time it took to check in we were a few minutes late to. The restaurant was fabulous and very understanding. We arrived back at the hotel approximately 9:30-10pm and went straight to bed as we were exhausted from the day's events. Over a month later, we received our credit card statement with an additional charge of $300. Upon inquiring as to what the charge was for, we were told it was for "incidentals due to water damage". When the hotel was told we did not know what they were referring to they sent the receipt to another person who had checked in with us. Upon calling back to discuss the situation, as the registered guest, I got nothing but the runaround. The first call I was told to call back in 20 minutes to speak to the General Manager because he would not be available until then. I did so then was told to call back in an hour. I did that then the 3rd time the GM was still not available! The front desk agent started to tell me to call back again, but I asked that the GM contact me when he was available since I had called several times as instructed and still not been able to reach him. I was told the GM would call me back. This was on a Friday afternoon. No call the remainder of that day nor the following Monday. Later Monday afternoon, I reached out again and spoke to Caleb Spangler. When I explained we had not caused any damages, he was not willing to 'listen' to what I had to say and was just ready with a response. He stated he had photos. I asked him to send those to me so I can see what we were being accused of and charged for. He did email them and it was of the luggage bench under the television, but no indication of how they came to the conclusion of how the damage occurred nor identifying it came from the room we stayed in. The photos sent were clearly old damage or possibly damaged from their renovation, but he refused to acknowledge there could be other possibilities of how this item was damaged and stated he "reviewed online" how long it takes for moisture to get into wood. As a fellow IHG hotel General Manager at another property, I thought having a manager to manager conversation would resolve the issue, as I take pride in working for IHG, my own property, any property traveled to, but that was not the case. I also asked him who Crystal Clary was as she was listed as the GM on the "how was your stay email" received after check out. He stated he had no idea who that was even after telling me he started working at the hotel in May (we stayed in July). Caleb also told me he would pass this on and when asked who he was going to pass it on to, he said the owner. If you are going to pass this on to someone else, I feel like I had the right to speak to that person, but he said the owner would not speak to me. Like I mentioned above, I work at another IHG property with the same exact furniture and this type of damage did not happen in a matter of hours/overnight. I have attached the photos they sent to me. Having gone through our own renovation last year, I know we received lots of items damaged in delivery or by the contractor storing things during the renovation, but the vendor who sent us the furniture willingly replaced any damaged items for us while under warranty. We have guests who have spilled food/drink or leave soppy pool towels, etc on this luggage bench and not one time have we had any "water damage" to the bench. I cannot imagine what other guests of this hotel have been charged for fraudulently and I will ensure everyone I know heading to Branson knows not to stay at this hotel so this does not happen to anyone else! This is bad business all around!! BEWARE

The Holiday Inn in Branson was great! The rooms were clean and nice, the beds were comfy, the shower was great, the tv worked fine and the breakfast was fantastic. At the main lobby, where the breakfast is, you get a great view of the Ozark mountains. Overall, I had a very good experience at this hotel and I would recommend staying here.

When we arrived from our 8 hour drive, we discovered first the rewards member parking was used up by forklifts and construction crews. We had to use the elevator on the opposite side of the building to access our room due to construction. The stairwells are marked to use the other set on the opposite side of the building as well. Entering our room we were greeted with cardboard covering the hole in the counter where a sink is supposed to be, and a malfunctioning door handle on the closet door that my 3 year old son locked himself inside. None of these things were brought to our attention before booking a room. The young lady at the front desk said there was nothing she could do for us but give some rewards points. Why are you renting out rooms while the hotel is in this condition?

"Not a Holiday Inn Hotel Standards"

This is privately own so it’s not an actual Holiday Inn Hotel, they just use their name. I overheard a guy telling someone on the phone and then it made sense. I paid $160 for one night and probably shouldn’t be more than $80 a night. They’re under construction so have fun trying to sleep in or using their gym. The parking lot is limited so I ended up parking my vehicle on the side, they told me they had parking at the back but it was empty and creepy looking so I wasn’t leaving my car there. I barely slept thinking my car could get tow. I used their hot tub and it had so much chlorine my eyes were burning. Their furniture it’s ok but it’s not Holiday Inn quality. Their breakfast was decent, they really didn’t keep up with it. I will not be staying there again, and from now on I guess I need to make sure they’re not just using the hotel name before I book a stay. I know holiday inn can’t do anything about it bcuz they’re privately own, I read the comments on another page so I didn’t bother arguing about a refund. I’m disappointed bcuz when I pay that kind of money I expect that type of service and it was far from it. My trust in your hotels is gone. I work hard for my money to be spending it on low quality hotels.

This place was horrible, first off I told the guy at the desk when checking in I was gonna need 2 days , he only charged and put me for 1 day so the next morning I was getting kicked out and they said they are booked up and there was nothing they could do even though it was there fault , the room cost me 207 dollars that’s including tax , I get in the room and was so disappointed holes in the bathroom door paint was scraped off the wall looked like this room was 100 years old . The curtain to the window would not shut I had to almost break the curtains just to get them to overlap each other so no one could see inside , The free breakfast they offer was ridiculous it consisted of old apples a cheese danish wrapped in plastic and microwave egg cheese burritos that came out of a frozen box some dry cereal and milk that tasted warm and old that’s it that was the great continental breakfast they give there customers,Are you kidding me ? Horrible hotel not worth the price you pay . Do not waste your good earned money on this location.
