This is a great option when taking a Disney trip. I have never stayed on the resort at Disney so I don't have anything to compare it to, but the price is right especially for big families. The waterslide is so fun at the resort and the kids enjoyed mini golf as well. 11 years ago we got married at the same location. The quality has not changed, and actually it has improved now that it is Hilton owned.

First of all, I have to say that there wasn’t one glaring moment of poor customer service, or filthy areas of the room. With that said, however, this is not a place we would ever choose again. We’ve been visiting Orlando for many years, so perhaps it’s because we have many experiences to compare it to, but this stay missed the mark for us in many ways: Usually, we don’t feel the need to rent a car because our resort is designed for easy navigation to activities, restaurants, entertainment….even other buildings within the resort. Here, we needed a shuttle just to get from our building to the ONE restaurant on the property. Said shuttle didn’t always show up, and had to be called a couple of times. We broke down and rented a car because this place is so spread out, so far from shopping and dining, parks, etc, that we knew we couldn’t just rely on Uber or Lyft the whole time. Heck, we were there for a soccer tournament, and we had to drive our daughter the other buildings to see her teammates. Also, any other place we’ve stayed in Orlando has so much going on. It’s lively, has entertainment, activities, restaurants, ice cream, etc. There’s just nothing going on here. NO HOT TUBS! Yes, the pools are heated, but when it’s January in FL, temps can get chilly. We had a day that was pleasantly in the 70’s during the day, but got very cold when the sun went down. This HUGE place has ZERO hot runs! How do you call yourself a higher end resort and have no hot tubs! Other smaller details that should be addressed…it’s very dark everywhere once the sun goes down. We wanted to have a team dinner around one of the grill areas, but we had to move it to one of the guest rooms because the grill area had no lighting at all. And, there was no way we were letting our teenage girl walk from our building to any other building once the sun was down. It was pitch black everywhere! Lighting of most paths and common areas would be such a great improvement. Also, make note that there is NO shuttle to parks anymore. Another little detail is that the water smelled strongly of that Florida water smell (our shower and washing machine smelled like eau du Pirates of the Carribbean). Overall, I don’t want to trash on this resort. The customer service was fine, our room was clean, but there’s nothing going on. Would NOT recommend for park-goers, young families, or groups that want a lot going on, with amenities that are abundant and easy to get to. BOTTOM LINE: If you’re a senior, a golfer, or someone who wants the retirement community vibe, this will be perfect, as long as you have a car. Will not stay here again because it did not match our needs/wants.

"Lovely but too far from Disney"

You can tell a lot about a hotel at the Front Desk reception; Faith, Jadelyn & Shane were 3 staff involved in checking us in. It took way too long. Faith was kind, lovely & really tried to help. Shane “made things right” by finding the accommodations we had booked. We appreciated that as long time Diamond / Gold Honors members. Beautiful condo, updated & well stocked. The main pool was nicely heated & lots of fun. Pool bar had great food! Jose was friendly & made fun drinks. Things that could be better: Security. We weren’t told, nor were we given a parking pass. Only on the last evening coming back were we asked for a parking pass. Other times the guards just waved us through without question. Not the best security. And the tapwater! Yuck, terrible taste. Most of Florida’s water isn’t that cringe so change is needed. Used bottled water our entire stay. Then lastly, as we loaded our car to leave, the guy blowing the leaves appeared right behind & around me. #CommonSenseMuch? Laughable but annoying. A sizable resort so maybe step back a bit for guests trying to leave?! This isn’t an ideal location if doing several days of Disney parks. But we’d definitely consider returning otherwise.
