The hotel is under remodel in the common areas. Positives: If you are there on vacation, they have a free shuttle to and from the Hotel Del Coronado. It runs from Noon til 7:30 in the winter. This is a nice benefit. Location:It is also very convenient to the baseball stadium and Gaslamp district. If there for business, it is next to the convention center so easy access. If planning on spending time in the area near the USS Midway, I would probably stay closer to there. It is a bit of a hike from the Hilton. So So: The staff was decent. They have someone always around with an iPad trying to sell you a vacation and maybe enroll people in Hilton Honors. (They weren't pushy though). Concierge just o.k. Pool" I didn't use it but it was pretty small and didn't have any views. I heard the Marriott Marquis pool was much better but i didn't see it. Bad: The oasis bar and the pool bar were inconsistently open. During my work part of the week the oasis was. But they were closed on friday night after the meeting crowd left. The pool bar was open on tuesday but seemed to be closed the rest of the week i was there. Overall, this hotel was good, but their are plenty of other options in the area based on your needs.

Had such a great experience at San Diego Hilton Bayfront. We came over here during for my work convention, but also family came to visit for a few days after, because it was our first time here in San Diego. Very happy we stayed at the Bayfront, the rooms were very clean and the hotel itself very beautiful than any other places I have been. Ryan with Hilton Grand Vacations was a pleasant person during my stay, we met several times during the day and helped me get to all the places I needed to get too, he was such a nice person. Thank you everyone.
