As mentioned many times before, the location is what gives this property a higher rating. The rooms could use a refresh - my refrigerator did not work and the TV continued to cycle on/off for no apparent reason, making it impossible to watch anything (especially frustrating during the Masters!) However, that did not dampen our spirits! We had no problem getting around, and from here you can walk anywhere downtown/Seaport Village/Barrio Logan. The pool area was relaxing and clean, good for all ages.

I spent 4 nights at the Hilton Bayfront for a conference. The hotel is large and right on the water next to the convention center and the large Dole Pineapple facility. My room 1508 looked out over the Dole facility. Nothing special but I could see the Coranado Bridge. The room consisted of 2 queen beds and had a bathroom with Tub and shower. The climate controls were still set for cooler weather when I arrived, and I called to have the thermostat adjusted. The desk chair in the room has seen some action and I wondered if Hilton has room renovation plans in the works. Could use and upgrade. Not that comfortable of a works station. I wish they brought back room service. Though I don’t get it often it’s convenient when working. The hotel Restaurant was nice and the meals I had there were good but pricy. The cannery shop was good to grab a coffee and a snack. The main bar was very popular and seemed to get the after baseball crowd sometimes. The hotel is just a walk over a pedestrian bridge to PETCO park and the Gaslamp district. The pool is large, heated and had lots of seating. There is a Bar outside was only a weekend option during my stay. You could order from the bar in the restaurant though. There are 2 hot tubs and an area with kids splash and plunge pool. I also noticed some games like giant Jenga and Connect 4 but did not see anyone using them. I had to check out and decided to spend the day at the pool before flying home. For a small fee I was able to purchase a daypass to the spa. This was a great option. I had full access to the locker rooms, given a robe and slides and was able to spend the day at the pool, use the steamroom, and then shower up and get ready for flight home. They even gave me a glass of bubbles. That was nice. In all it was a good stay. Big hotel, and good location.

"Average at best"

It was ok. I expected more high end but it was average. The bed and pillow was super soft and our backs were hurting. There was blood stains on our comforter and I’m not sure if they didn’t wash it well but we had to ask for a new comforter. The view was amazing though and the customer service was great!
