Location: 4/5 — nice views Room: 0/5 — smelled like throw up Amenities: 3/5 — average Service: 1/5 — robotic/unaccommodating Was checked into a room that smelled like throw up. After reporting this issue.. 1) There was zero apology. They simply gave me a new key and advised me of my new room #. 2) There was nothing done to try and right the poor people experience. 3) Worst of all there was nothing done about it! I know this because I had to return to the room the next day to gather one of my belongings I had left, and it still smelled the same!! On checkout day I had left my bag in the room as I was attending an event in the hotel. I then received a call from the hotel that I was past my checkout time and that they would be charging me $75. I said I was unaware of the policy and would grab my bag immediately, but they said it was too late. I then went to the front desk to explain the situation to the manager, and she was completely unaccommodating. She simply reminded me of their policies (which I wasn’t aware of). This experience completely turned me off to ever wanting to stay here in the future.

Top tier all the way around at this Hilton! Views are breathtaking, amenities are unbelievable, Room is off the chart, LOCATION COULD NOT BE BETTER! First visit to the Bayfront area with only 2 days but Shawn at Concierge really made sure that we got the best possible from the area in that time, everything he recommended was spot on and exceeded expectations. Felt like I was having a conversation with a good friend from the area who wanted to make sure our Anniversary weekend was the best it could be. Just a Class Act Facility through and through!

8 stayed on the 28th floor and the views were absolutely beautiful. you can see the water and city skyline, which made the stay feel really special. The hotel grounds are gorgeous, and the pool area is just as nice as it looks online. The marketplace downstairs was well-stocked, which was super convenient. Check-in was a little slow and the staff didn’t seem particularly happy that day, but it wasn’t a big deal overall. The room itself was clean and comfortable, though I did notice a few stains on the couch. Other than that, everything else was great and I’d definitely stay here again for the views alone!

Business stay and as always, this Hilton never disappoints. Don't 2nd guess and book. Best location for downtown San Diego. Best part of the stay is the hotel staff esp Brogan who has the coolest name!! She def went out of our way and above and beyond first class service and support. I came to the Hilton for a nursing conference and have thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this hotel. It’s beautiful, clean, and everyone who works here is so lovely. It’s very close to the Gas Lamp Quarter, and I walked there several times for the restaurants in the super fun dueling piano bar, Shout! There is an easy pathway that takes you from the hotel entrance right to where all the fun is at. Just came back from a bike ride using the complementary bike service (Hilton Honors member). The attendant Robert couldn’t have been any cooler. He was so sweet, helped set me up with the bike and made sure I was all set to have a fun time. He was a cherry on top of this wonderful stay.
