My first time here at Hilton Bayfront. It was a good first experience, I wanted to mention special thanks for the friendly staff the bellmen that helped my family and I with all our tremendous amount of luggage. Ryan with Hilton grand vacations gave us many advise for different things to do and also give us a very good deal with a new vacation in future. Room service food was also very top tier, had overall great experience here by the bay. Thank you!

Beautiful hotel... Upon check-in room given was changed to a lower floor and not a very good view. We asked if we could be moved and without delay we were moved to a better room ( if you will) with a better view, bathroom. Our stay was a 3 day stay room 2435. We only had one day of room clean because the other days my husband put the DND sign on the door in error. However per the one day our room was clean Griselda did an outstanding job! Talked to the Mgr. for Housekeeping and I could not say enough good things about her. I wanted to leave her a tip but was afraid it would not go to her but someone else. I hope by leaving this review and naming her will make up for my error not leaving her a tip! I asked another cleaning person about her before we left and I was informed the day we checked out she was not working that day! Thank you Griselda for all you do and doing it very WELL! On another note- we were concerned how we were charged after eating breakfast and noticed charges that concerned us. We called to the front desk and told the F&B Mgr. would give us a call back. Well of course he/she never did so our questions and concerns were never answered! Even though this was a downer ... I still rate the hotel as being top notch with staff and amenities!

If you’re attending a Padres game, or conference nearby or in the hotel, then this is probably ok. Otherwise, don’t bother. If you’re a family on a tourist visit, definitely look elsewhere. Our room was dirty, dark hairs all over the bathroom floor, carpet coated my feet in grunge quickly, and there was a stain on my sheets that prompted me to request clean sheets immediately (so gross, all of it). I asked the front desk for a deep clean, no idea if that was done, but the room was no cleaner the next day. Disappointing. Food options are very limited, especially for breakfast. Nothing quick, and nothing particularly reasonable. The Cannery (market shop) was ok for grabbing a quick beverage, but that was about it. Parking was very challenging the last two nights because the Padres were playing at home and there’s a pedestrian bridge connecting the hotel garage to the stadium. There was no enforcement of the hotel-only level(s), so it became a race to get in and find a spot after a lengthy wait in line just to badge into the garage. Lastly, sound insulation was sub-optimal. We paid for an upgraded City/Bay View room that also faced Rady Shell, which hosted live concerts every night we were there. The first night was particularly loud and kept us up. The front desk said concerts were to be done by 10pm, which might have been true, but not great when your crew is early-risers who turn in a bit early. To recap: dirty room, difficult parking, limited food options, and noisy room. All at a premium price in a location that you had to leave every day to do standard tourist activities. Altogether, not a winning combination.

Wow, what a convenient location in the downtown area of sunny San Diego. The hotel provides so many amenities in and out of the property. The rooms are spacious, have amazing views and all around just the perfect spot to snooze during your stay. Customer service is friendly, professional and very knowledgeable on all these to do locally; Alondra was extremely helpful and made my stay even better, please take care of her, she was seriously amazing. THANKS BAYFRONT!
