AS a Hilton member and religiously book at the Hilton for business trips I am disappointed that they charged a full amount stay when my flight was cancelled and I had to cancel my stay. They refused to charge me a fee and charged me the entire stay regardless of my flight cancellation. Disappointed and will now stay at the Marriot.

Made a mistake. If your read above HGI Midtown has been out go to for a couple years. Family moved out this way and we switched. User error! Started with check in. Had some communication difficulty due to shrieking preschoolers in the lobby playing ? cops and robbers? Stay was all on points, but finally came clear they were advance charging me $150 'incidentals'. 10+ years bouncing between Diamond and Gold, never heard of this but whatever. to elevator. Right hand elevator car. floor 3 button would not work. This elevator clearly programmed to be primary as it always came first. Another guest saw me pushing floor 5 to get that car to leave so I could call the other smirked, 'yesterday neither car would stop on 3'. I can't confirm that. Did notice no elevator maintenance certificate in the car (either car). Is this a requirement? IDK. Reported this, now, 3 days later no diff. Wife is recently post op knee surgery, so stairs were out. Since I was $150 in the hole, maybe, bought family dinner @ restaurant. Both toilets in the men's clogged. Yuck. To room. Right hand light fixture in bathroom (which needs a serious upgrade) had some black sticky stuff on it, like a soda bottle had sprayed, or something. Last straw: stay was Friday to Monday. Sunday @ 12:30 PM both physical card keys and my digital key quit. Front desk: "there appears to be some problem with the cards". Me "ya think?" Can't remember when I first hit Gold, but had to be 2015 or so. This was a first. Just. Stay. Away. For us, back to Midtown, or another brand.

After checking in through the Hilton app went to the desk to get our key. Room 214. When we got to the room we had no electricity. Called down and was told maintenance was working on it and would be up to check. After several hours and many trips back to the front desk found out several rooms on the second floor did not have electricity. Yet he was still checking people in to second floor rooms. Finally realized there was never a maintenance person working on fixing the problem. Now 9:15AM the next morning, still no electricity. This is the second problem in less than 6 months we’ve had with Hilton. They are going down hill fast.

Terrible… sink and tub both were clogged. Should have canceled when we first checked in and heard the lady in front of us complaining about it too.. lobby roof was leaking after rain.. this property needs to be shutdown and repaired.. even checking out this morning there was a long line of people asking to get issues fixed in their rooms..

Not like other Hilton Garden Inns. We found we needed to wipe down our room upon arrival. Tabletop very sticky and in poor condition. We didn’t feel the attention to clean that we have experienced at many other Hilton Garden Inns. Also, after reading several other reviews, this location regularly denies the daily breakfast allowance to their guests? We felt we had to beg for ours. Several contacts and reminders just to get half our four day allowance for two guests. The staff is courteous and ready to accommodate- but don’t expect to be treated fairly when it comes to restaurant amenities. We felt finagled down to the dime. The experience soured out 4 night stay. We cannot recommend this location. Not like other Hilton Garden Inns.
