"Priced to entice."

Made my reservation through the Hilton app. Not once was this location show in the app to have 69 bucks a night valet parking. The in house restaurant was deplorable when it came to both quality of food and price. 27.06 for a pizza quality from little Caesars, that doesn’t include the tip. Checked out early, get slammed with a 75 dollar early check out fee as a surprise. Needless to say I don’t recommend this location to anyone

The location of this hotel cannot be beat - walking distance to everything and wonderful rooms / hospitality. The rooms are very comfortable and the highlight was the amazing 18th floor restaurant with stunning city views. Will definitely be back!

Hilton Garden Inn Austin TX near 6th Street - TripAdvisor Review I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Austin TX near 6th Street for a weekend getaway, and while the location was great, just a short walk from the vibrant 6th Street nightlife, the experience was a mixed bag. The room itself was adequate, but the hotel came with a hefty price tag, and the $65 per night parking fee felt excessive. The biggest issue was the air conditioning in our room, which didn’t work at all. After a fun evening bar-hopping on 6th Street, we returned to a stuffy, uncomfortable room and sweated through the night. It was late, and we weren’t in the mood to track down a repairman, so we just suffered through it. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice any breakfast or coffee available in the lobby, which was disappointing for the price. On a positive note, the front desk staff was understanding and made an adjustment to our bill to compensate for the uncomfortable stay, which I appreciated. However, given the cost and the AC issue, I’d think twice before booking here again. 2/5 stars

"Beware Charges to Your Room Rate Weeks After You Leave."

This hotel has horrible business practice. My wife stayed there for SXSW. Hilton sent her a guarantee of her rate. She paid the rate and thought all was fine. Several weeks later the hotel contacted her (the Saturday before Easter) to tell her they made a mistake and didn't charge her at the correct rate. A SXSW rate. They said they had already charged her credit card for the difference. The hotel didn't even notify us before they charged us. They just went ahead and did it. What if it had been an ATM card and we didn't have enough money in the bank? They didn't even offer us a choice to use a different card. The least they could have done was contact us before they charged us. My feeling is they should should have just admitted it was their fault (which it was) and let it go at that. I know they disagree with me but I think it was appalling customer service.
