I gave this 3 stars because the front desk was friendly and informative, the rooms and common areas were clean and the view is amazing. However, everything else was a let down. We have been traveling across a few cities so we have stayed in 3 hotels back to back. This one was the worst. The room was so small, and the beds are more like a full not queen. They are on a platform that takes up even more space unnecessarily. They have a huge desk, huge dresser and big cabinet for the refrigerator taking up even more space. They should look into changing the furniture to try and free up some space since the rooms are so small. They say there is free WiFi but it doesn’t work AT ALL. It says no internet connection, and the card reader on the vending machines didn’t work. Not only that but I got no cell service in the room either. I work from home currently so this was a major inconvenience. I had to go to my car or outside to do some work. There is no coffee in the lobby for guests. Not that they have to, but I stay in a lot of hotels and this is the only hotel that didn’t have coffee for guests. I wouldn’t say the hotel was horrible, I just think there are some things they could improve to make it better.

So we booked almost a week here.. the day we got there we were so excited and had the bed time. Then come bedtime our 9 month old would not sleep and kept crying since he could see us (due to being all of us in one room) after no sleep due to the baby we called and explained what was going on and we needed to move to a place that had two bedrooms as least. Long story short the front desk gentleman was so amazing and refunded us. We will be back! But baby free lol.

"Tired property in great location"

This hotel shows its age with wear and tear and small room and bathroom. Snack shack at the pool only open on weekends for a few hours. No maid service because of COVID. Elevator broken for a day. Beautiful view and location on the beach but still not recommended.

"Really close to the beach!"

The pictures and description of the hotel were deceiving. This is an older hotel with some modern bathroom fixtures. The room smelled moldy. They've started remodeling the lobby, so perhaps, in the future, l be a lot nicer. The beds were very comfortable. This hotel didn't give guests any indication that the room had been sanitized beforehand, (like putting a seal on the door) although I assume it was. The shuttle to old St Augustine picked us up right outside the lobby doors, which was very convenient. This was part of the fee one paid for the "hop on - hop off" trolley service. The hotel is just steps away from an absolutely gorgeous beach which made everything that much better!

"Not A Resort"

Mold in room. Moved to second room. Paid extra for king bed with balcony. Second room had a full bed - not King- and the room smelled like Ben Gay ( not fresh cleaning - disinfectant smell - but Ben Gay). Moved again- third room. Front desk clerk acted annoyed with the entire situation as if it were our fault. Also- this is a beach front hotel- NOT A RESORT. If this is the new definition of resort - we will stay home. Yes they have a pool but it is small - and to the beach- Beach chairs and umbrella for two people approx $30 a day EXTRA. Again- for outdated run down beach front HOTEL. As far as the name- maybe a few Guy Harvey reproductions on the walls along with overpriced Guy Harvey t- shirts and trinkets in the lobby. Will not return.
