Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea in Kihei, HI

As parents of two young kids, we don’t expect true vacations, only "trips" so to speak. However, the Four Seasons in Wailea allowed us to truly relax and be pampered for once. Booked with a FS Preferred Partner. Upon arrival we were upgraded to an ocean view room which was large, modern, and exceptionally clean. Loved the room's background music! There were delightful welcome amenities for adults (champagne, sweet treats) and kids (stuffed animals, their names spelled out in bath sponges, kid-sizes robes and flip flops, beach hats). A very stylish beach bag (you can purchase!) and nice complementary water bottles were also found. Breakfast buffet at Duo is impressive and kids under 5 are free. We went to the pool and beach each day and had no trouble finding seats, including complementary poolside cabanas, so long as we arrived between 8-9am. Pool attendant Tiffany helped us out and made sure that folks were not out saving seats at 6am (something we've experienced widely at other properties - thank you, Tiffany!). Ka'imiloa gave our girls tokens for free shave ice from the beach cafe, much appreciated! Brandon helped us poolside on multiple days and was super attentive, food and drinks all great and keiki menu was appealing and reasonably priced. We rented the snorkel equipment available on property ($40 for 24hrs) and saw multiple sea turtles and amazing fish in the ocean right in front of the hotel, no need to go on an excursion which is hard with young kids. The waterfall kids pool is not as exciting as some others in the area (no big slides, etc) but there is a small slide and a shallow tot area that worked great for us. You'll also see kids at the main pool and hot tub (pool depth is about 3.5ft in a lot of areas), and the pools are a great temperature. Pool toys are available for purchase though you'll find better prices elsewhere. I went to the adult pool one day and it was amazing! We'll have to try that next time, sans kids. We got a sitter and tried Spago and Ferraro's, both excellent. We really appreciated server Nick, who was very attentive and gave great recs. Finally, the pop-up speakeasy Oto (room 380) was really cool for post-dinner drinks, love that concept and our bartender was amazing. Overall, this is one of our favorite resort stays, and we've been to other luxury properties including other FS. Not a single hiccup, and every staff member giving it their all for the guests. Worth every penny. We will be back, can’t wait to try the kids club!

Outstanding service but this property is very outdated and desperate need of a upgrade and make over, but it is the best location in Maui!

We were fortunate enough to spend four nights at this fabulous hotel. The location cannot be beat. It has a wonderful beach and pools to enjoy. The service is top notch, with servers who are not intrusive but are there for your every need. We were lucky to have a lovely suite with a beautiful view of the ocean. We also took advantage of having a wonderful brunch buffet each morning. It is very pricy but worth it. If you are planning a trip to Maui, The Four Seasons should be your top choice.

One of my absolute favorite places in my entire world I've ever been. The serenity pool is absolutely amazin. The kids for all seasons kids club but it's spectacular with Mrs. Liz. One of my favorite restaurants in Maui is on site at Ferraro's Italian overlooking the beach. This entire resort is immaculate top to bottom inside and out. The management and staff do an incredible job at making everyone feels special. They always know you by name and are willing to help and assist. Beautiful cabanas, one of the best spas I've ever been to. I can't say enough good things about this place and Mr. Muzica and his staff. From the moment you arrive you will be treated like royalty. So many activities in one of the most beautiful beaches on Maui. Highly recommend for families for adults. You cannot go wrong with four seasons Maui. Absolute exceptional in every facet. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The start to our stay has been a disaster. No one greeted us upon arrival or helped us with our bags. No one acknowledged us at the front desk until my wife literally hollered for help (there were at least two people at the front desk not attending to guests). We came back because our in our prior stay I had toilet water drip on me, and we were promised an upgrade for our next stay. I had reached out to the resort manager and he confirmed that we were all set for the upgrade. Yet upon arrival, not only was an upgrade not available as was promised, but one of our rooms wasn't even available until after 6p (note the 4p guaranteed check-in) as they had to kick out the prior guests. They are clearly grossly understaffed, but worse yet, one would expect any Four Seasons to keep and even exceed their promises. We literally would not have come if we had any inkling that they could not fulfill the promises they made. So incredibly disappointed at this point. Should have gone somewhere else.
