"Fabulous Hotel and Concierge Captain Philip goes over and beyond…"

Great hotel and beautiful rooms, and a very special shout out to Philip, the Concierge Manager…Philip seemed omnipresent during my stay, there wherever I turned to ask about my stay, comfort and needs. He was so personable, knowledgeable and seemed to anticipate my needs. He discussed and described a number of restaurant recommendations and untimely suggested one based on my reactions to his descriptions. It wound up being an excellent choice, a wonderful meal and just as Philip billed. Again, Philip makes the experience at the Fairmont that much better and even entertaining with his demeanor and approach. I plan on choosing The Fairmont for all of my future trips to Dallas and will be a regular at the hotel going forward. Thanks so much and I would recommend The Fairmont to anyone traveling to Dallas, whether that be for business or pleasure. - Chris Jackson

"Best Wedding Venue & Hotel for an Epic Dallas Wedding"
TripAdvisor user rating 5.0 out of 5
Reviewed May 10, 2025 NEW
We got married here in March, and we’d give this place 10 stars if we could. Highly recommend! My wife is from Dallas, we wanted an epic downtown Dallas wedding, and we’re so glad we picked the Fairmont Dallas. There are many excellent venues to choose from in Dallas but there were pros/cons- some had columns in the middle of the ballroom and the big eyeball outside (Joule), too small (Crescent fits up to 170 people), have multiple weddings on the same day (Adolphus), had noise/echo concerns (Union Station), not all-in-one (ruled out anything that wasn’t connected with a hotel), slightly insane price wise for our guests (I had a mocktail at the JW Marriott and it was $15- I didn’t want our guests to have that negative experience), were insanely expensive to stay in for our guests (Rosewood, Swexan, etc). For some reason, I didn’t have the Fairmont on my original list. I didn’t realize they had gone through a really nice renovation both inside and outside. From the second we toured the Fairmont, it was game over. We knew we wanted to host our wedding weekend there. It’s in a nice, safe area of Dallas (Adolphus, Thompson, Joule, Omni, Hyatt Regency are a little too downtown) and is within walking distance of Klyde Warren Park, the Dallas Museum of Art, Dakota’s Steakhouse, and the 3 nicest churches in Dallas (Cathedral Guadalupe for Catholics, First United Methodist Church, and First Dallas Baptist). Plus, the hotel itself is incredible- the 2nd Floor Ballroom is by far the most grand, stunning, epic ballroom in Dallas, the Venetian ballroom is perfect for the After Party (and hosted many famous celebrities like Tina Turner back in the day), and the Terrace is a beautiful use of indoor and outdoor space. The Welcome Party, Reception, After Party (plus 100 hotel rooms for our guests) - the wedding weekend at the Fairmont was breathtaking. Huge shout out to the entire Fairmont team from Chef Adam and his entire team who somehow created and served delicious entres, salads, and desserts with virtually no wait/lag time to 300 guests, to Daryl and the concierge team who took care of all of the guests that weekend, to Trevor and everyone behind the scenes who helped make this weekend possible. Thank you so so so much. Plus, we earned a ton of Fairmont points from hosting our wedding at the Dallas Fairmont that it paid for the Fairmont Nile City Hotel in Cairo during our honeymoon trip. Love it!

"Disappointing stay"
TripAdvisor user rating 4.0 out of 5
Reviewed May 09, 2025 NEW
For 5 stars the room we had was not as expected with a need of renovations and bath/ shower from the Middle Ages and in the whole room one usb charger which did not work but was repaired. Breakfast is crazy expensive and just outright robbery. It is served and fancy but two hot plates and two coffees for 75 usd is insane. Pool is nice but old and in need of paint job. Lobby bar is nice and was priced ok. Location is good close to museums and most other things to do in Dallas. Overall price wise 5 star but what you get is closer to 3.

"Fairmont + Philip … unbeatable combination in Dallas"
TripAdvisor user rating 5.0 out of 5
Reviewed April 29, 2025 NEW
We spent fantastic four nights at the Fairmont, Dallas, we had three rooms across seven people, we brought our five kids, and we enjoyed the facility and rooms plus the pool very much, nice atmosphere overall. The highlight of the facility is a great team, mastered by the fantastic senior concierge Philip who brings light and amazing positive energy into the lobby with the most amazing hospitality DNA you can find. He brought smiles into our faces and had such a great touch with the kids, the small and the bigger ones and we had such a fun time with him. We will definitely hope to come back, go there and see yourself.
