Drury Inn & Suites Charlotte Arrowood in Charlotte, NC

Charlotte Arrowood was clean and safe, with friendly staff. easy check in Breakfast was awesome! The afternoon beverage and snacks was also awesome! Stayed at the Valdosta location as well. Same great experience

The staff and amenities are wonderful. We choose this Drury because we always feel cared for and welcome. It is exceptionally clean and beautiful!

My husband and I booked 4 nights from December 31st- Jan 4, 2026. Needless to say, it's been cold outside. On the second day, I realized that the thermostat had been shut off. I couldn't control the temperature in the room anymore. I had been able to the night before. The manager indicated that she didn't know what was going on. She also said she was able to see that I had attempted to turn the heat up and told me exactly what I tried to turn it up to. She wasted our time by coming up to the room with a reader to test the air. I referred to this as "wasting our time" because after the fact, another staffer told me that heat would be monitored by the front desk and that I would have to call in order for them to turn it on, up, or down. This was insulting to me because prior to that this was not said. We were told at this point that they would be controlling the heat. Sometimes the in room thermostat would be disabled. From this point going forward we had to call the front desk for the heat to be turned up or down. usually. We endured being cold and uncomfortable. I resent the initial dishonesty. I also don't understand why a guest would have to call back and forth to be comfortable. I was going to wait to leave this review until I checked out. However, as I sit cold in my room waiting for them to put the heat on, I am too annoyed to wait. About 15 minutes ago I called and asked that they turn the heat on. When I called back, after no heat, the front desk person who answered said "I just turned it on. I had to wait until my manager showed me how to do it" What??!! I've never experienced this before. Not when there is a working thermostat in the room. Apparently, this practice is done to save the owner's money. However, it is unacceptable in my opinion. It's a shame because otherwise the hotel is good. The linens are very fresh and the bed is comfortable. Also, the food at breakfast and the evening kick back is good and convenient. I'm wondering if this practice is also done during the summer when guests need air conditioning. I would be reluctant to take a chance.

Dury Hotel Arrowood is a safe , clean hotel right off Hwy I-77 Carowinds is only 1 mile away which is why we booked this hotel. They have a nightly reception with mixed drinks , wine or beer and free food until 7PM They also have a scratch kitchen open until midnight. A free HOT BREAKFAST is also included in the stay . They have a indoor/ outdoor pool and a hot tub which is a hit with the kids. The rooms are clean , furniture is a little dated and worn , but the room is very clean. Bathroom is large and spacious with many amenities. The front desk staff was friendly and check in was a breeze. Our stay for 3 was under $130.00 We highly recommend this hotel for families on a budget.
