We love spending a weekend at AKL. The savannah views are fantastic. The night vision viewing is amazing and we love both pools on the property. Boma is my favorite restaurant in all of Disney, the selection and flavors are exquisite. My daughter is into pin trading and loves to trade and talj with King Pin in the lobby. The other activities in the lobby are also a lot of fun for children.

This is our first stay here. I don’t know why we didn’t try this fantastic place sooner. At check in my husband and I were upgraded to a savanna view by our one of a kind check in person Jason. He was so pleasant and helpful he made us feel at home. To tell you the truth ever single person from the front desk to a housekeeper were all friendly. Great room. Clean with all the terrific amenities we love.beautiful property. Wonderful time! Were sure to return.

"Deluxe resort - magical holiday"

We have just returned back from 14 nights at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge! We paid for a standard view and upon arrival we’re given a partial Savannah view by Shey who went above and beyond for us, allocating Kudu Trail room 2343 which was newly renovated with 2 queen beds and a bath! The room was immaculate and the view was spectacular. We did have a few issues with housekeeping whilst there - damp towels, no body wash for 3 days, wooden floors left dirty and full of fluff and tea and coffee not replenished and no housekeeping at all one day. This was the only thing letting the hotel down and wasn’t good enough for a deluxe resort really! Anyway, the reception staff and the entertainment guides were all amazing. We had a lengthy chat with Patrick whilst he was carving a walking stick and he was just wonderful talking to us about Africa and the trades he was taught by his father. We enjoyed the food in the Mara and also Jiko and Boma too and the service was always amazing. The children loved the pool but the floor is a little sharp in places so I would recommend using pool shoes. The busses to the parks were excellent! Never waited longer than 10 minutes and they were always spotlessly clean and the drivers were also very pleasant. All in all we had a magnificent Disney holiday!

"Lovely Hotel but could do better!"

Lovely hotel and surroundings, housekeeping excellent, our standard room was savannah view. Definitely worth getting the refil mugs at 19 dollars plus tax, can fill with cold drinks, tea, coffee, chocolate as much as you want. Mara quick service excellent. Only down side, not enough Disney transport running at peak times and this is November, too much priority given to DVC members ( Disney Vacation Club) busses always call at Kidani Village first and Jambo House second so busses are full on arrival at Jambo, allow at least an hour to get to parks. Hopefully in the height of the summer season there are more busses.

"Disappointed - Beware of the construction"
TripAdvisor user rating 2 out of 5
Reviewed November 27, 2019 NEW
I wish we would have known the extent of the on-going construction at Jambo House. WOW! The noise was only outdone by the intense smell of chemicals. Extensive construction including cranes, scaffolding, scissor lifts, grinding, drilling and painting vasty reduce the intended effect of being in an African Safari. The presence of construction workers wandering the hallways is not good. In reality the impacted portion of the hotel should be closed during this construction but that would mean the loss of revenue which is obviously out of the question. Ask for a room far away from the construction is possible. On a positive note the animals were awesome and plentiful! It was also nice to see they all seemed to be cared for very well.
