The place was clean and the staff was friendly but this is not a 3 star hotel. It is more like a 2 star. In a King room, there were no available outlets to power personal devices on either side of the bed. The structure itself is old with lots of crumbling sidewalks and the mattress could definitely use an upgrade. But like I said earlier, the staff was great and the place was clean.

Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, but everything was dated. (New shower heads are cheap and would make it feel much better) TV only had 15 working channels. The one thing that messed up our trip a bit is it said “PET FRIENDLY” on booking.com, but they only allow 1 Dog (we have 2 small ones) and they DON’T allow you to leave the dogs in the room while you aren’t there. The whole point of staying there was to leave our dogs there while we went to Disney Springs. I guess it’s my fault for not reading the fine print. I have been to dozens of “Pet Friendly” hotels and they let us have 2 small dogs and we could leave them for at least 5-6 hours unsupervised. It shouldn’t be labeled as “pet friendly” imo. Luckily, my mother in law took the dogs for 2 nights. Despite that confusion they stay was decent. A few small upgrades along with some caulk and paint would make this hotel much more welcoming

Baymont by Wyndham Orlando Lake Buena Vista South was quite possibly the most disgusting hotel I've encountered in my life (and I've stayed in MANY). The room was filthy, smelly, and moldy (and NOT just because it's in Florida and it's humid). Upon arrival, late at night, I noticed my sheets were filthy. The sheets looked like someone had walked on them with shoes on. It was so late, I just slept on top of the covers and texted customer service that they were dirty and urgently needed to be changed. They responded with an apology and assured me that they'd be changed first thing in the morning. After a long day at Universal Studios, we came back late night and found that the sheets had not been changed and the exact same filthy sheets remained on the bed. I walked down to the front desk and requested clean sheets myself. Got no apology and proceeded to change the sheets myself. Beyond the bed, the room was visibly dirty and moldy, especially the bathroom. To be clear, I knew we weren't staying at the Ritz, as we booked last minute and there weren't many options, but this was awful by any standards. The mold was so bad that my wife could barely breathe in the room, until we went to Target and bought an air purifier. Wyndham should be embarrassed to have its name associated with this place. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. Despite how terrible this place was, it also wasn't super cheap.

The location was great for a quick weekend at the parks. The price of the hotel was equivalent to the experience. The rooms looked like they were updated but there was a musty smell from the a/c. The tv was also snowy and there was no remote but the front desk was kind enough to refund our resort fee. Hot breakfast was a nice touch.
