"Most unsecured hotel and unauthorized charges / overbilled $$$"

Most DFW American Airlines stranded passangers ended up in this hotel and Franchised by Indian origin businessman. Most unsecured place on earth- ZERO privacy. People can see inside your room through curtains and lack of privacy where people can see through a door frame- Most bedsheets are with stains, mine was ,seen one blood stain- didnt even use it - but stayed few hours and checked out. No hot water from old taps- So AA sent 1st Class Passangers there to most unsecured place on Earth. Ground Floor rooms outside environment was scary. Billing part is the most concern part, AA pays via voucher system and Hotel people asked you to swiped your card secures an incidental deposit $25- but when you checked out you'll see $200+ and $87+ charges and when called front desk assured to call back but never callback , When you asked the reason for charges they have no clue or reason but saying they need to deep clean the UNUSED beedsheet or some other reason as very typical indian franchised hotel owners or operators scamming guests via security deposits or fraudulent charges - So please dont use your credit card to this place ever!!! This issue MUST be addressed to higest level of American Airlines Guest relations- AA guest relation executive will never stay one star hotels but 4-5 strs so why would they send 1st class passangers or anyone to very unsafe and hotel full of scamming guests via security deposits- I' dont know the answer! I will be filing a fraud complaint at BBB The shuttle was horrible and drivers are packing people like animals. Go and see for yourself ! Thanks for reading.

"Felt unsafe and it smelled"

I got stuck overnight in Dallas and AA put me up here. This place was a complete dump. I tried calling other hotels and would have paid out of pocket. All room entrances were outside. As a solo female traveler arriving at 10:30pm I didn’t feel safe. The hotel butts up against industrial area and the main light was out so it was dark. No security. The breakfast was a joke. A Folgers coffee machine and orange juice machine. I couldn’t leave quick enough the next morning after not sleeping. The room smelled of chemical air freshener. The next day I had a $300 fraud charge on my cc to PASCHAGARDEN that I used for the deposit . I hadn’t used that cc for over a week. Fortunately my cc caught it.

"Creepy Under Construction Motel"

The room was recently remodeled, but there's a lot of darkness and construction. It was quite unsettling traveling as a woman alone. I wouldn't stay there again even if it is free.

"Poor shuttle service late at night with terrible beds and stained sheets. Avoid!"

American Airlines put us up at the SureStay DFW since our flight from Detroit to Dallas was delayed and we missed our connection to Tucson. The agent at DTW (Detroit) was great and booked us before we left because it was clear before takeoff that we wouldn’t make the connection. She knew DFW and wanted to get us in a particular hotel but that one was already booked. We needed her help as my husband and I were in two separate tickets and we didn’t want to confuse the hotel. That hotel had a 24/7 shuttle to DFW which is critical at that huge airport. On arrival at DFW we finally found the courtesy van pickup spot. But it was unclear what shuttle we should take. Though one shuttle came and had SureStay on it, that driver refused to take us. I called the hotel twice and there was no answer. We looked up the cost of a Lyft and it was $30 plus tip to go 2-3 miles as the crow flies. So I tried to call the hotel again. Finally someone answered and said it would be another 15-30 minutes. He said to look for the “North Hotel Shuttle”. Though midnight CST at least it wasn’t super cold. So we waited. Finally a van labelled as such came. I told the driver that we needed to go to the SureStay in Grapevine and he said no that wasn’t on our route. Other passengers clamored aboard. Finally I showed him the American voucher again and he called someone and spoke in some other language and that guy told him to take us. Our hotel was across the highway from most of the hotels and perhaps he wasn’t familiar with it. But really! I showed him the GPS instructions to drive there as he didn’t use a map app apparently. Finally we arrived and though he sort of waited for a tip we didn’t tip him. I think he didn’t read English well and that was part of the problem but he was so obstructive and unhelpful until I spoke sharply that I felt he didn’t deserve a tip. When we got to the hotel we had no problem checking in. But that was two hours after landing!!But we got a room on the highway side with the softest double bed (not Queen) that I have ever slept in. They gave you one hand towel. Part of this was American’s fault. They should have asked for a room for two. However the sheets seemed stained and worn. It was a 1 star hotel. 1 1/2 stars final being generous. Bottom line, I have been told that American is not the airline it used to be. They probably spent $100 between hotel and meal vouchers on us. And SureStay is not where you want to be when stranded at DFW!

"Perfectly adequate room, less than adequate staff."

Most of the room was perfectly adequate for a low-budget motel, however have a look at the photo of the kitchen sink. Thank god I didn't need to use it. Now...the real reason this review is ranked lower is the absurd conversation I had when calling for the shuttle: Me: Hi I need the shuttle from the airport Hotel guy: Ok what gate are you at? Me: I'm not at a gate, I'm outside the gate area Hotel guy: Ok, what do you see? Me: Well what do you mean, what should I be looking for? Hotel guy: Well do you see trees and stuff? (yes, he actually asked this) Me: Um...no I'm inside the terminal Hotel guy: Well you just said you weren't at a gate Me: That's right, I'm outside security but still inside the terminal Hotel guy: Well thats why I asked what you can see Me: Perhaps you could just tell me where I should go? Hotel guy: Oh yeah sure, go to the lower level and look for the purple signs that say hotel shuttle Me: Sigh, you could have led with that.
