"Perfect stay"

We wanted a hotel near Mall of America. I booked because we are Choice Hotel rewards members and the price was right. As soon as we arrived, we were acknowledged as rewards members and the desk staff set down 2 ice cold bottles of water for us. We got to our room and it exceeded our expectations. We liked the separate living room area from the bedroom with two TVs. The bathroom and shower were very nice. Breakfast was 10/10 with hot offerings. Western omelets, eggs, sausages, biscuits and gravy, waffles (not a waffle station, but prepared waffles). Plus there were a variety of other offerings. There is a TGIFridays and ihop on the property. There is a skywalk at the edge of the property that takes you across Killebrew and on the other side it’s just a few steps to the mall entrance. We definitely would stay there again.

"Convenient for Mall of America and light rail"

My 82-year-old father and I stayed for 3 nights as a rest stop on our US road trip so we could walk to MoA and get the light rail into downtown as a break from driving. We shared a suite due to it having separate bedrooms to reduce our costs and this worked out well. It's a large busy hotel with very helpful and friendly staff but the room looked a little worn (and the floor was slightly grubby where we had pulled out the couch to turn it into a bed and I guess it hadn't been swept). Breakfast was good - plenty of choice. We had dinner each evening at the connected Ihop open to hotel guests 24 hours a day. It was convenient for MoA with plentiful free parking. Soundprooofing was excellent as we weren't disturbed by plane noise. Tip: use the pool in the morning when there aren't any children around.

"Horrible experience!"

I reserved a room through a 3rd party website site for 2 queen beds, specifically. When we arrived to our room, they placed us in a 1 queen bed and a pullout couch bed. This is NOT the same. Hotel said that's all they had and weren't willing to do anything about it. And, the website must have used new photos of the hotel because the hotel was NOT in the same state upon our stay. It was a very, worn down hotel, and I wouldn't have chosen it in current conditions. Sticky and stains all over carpet, broken lamp shade on the desk, pieces of furniture missing from many furnishings. Overall, horrible stay. Neither hotel nor website offered a refund. I will not be using this site nor hotel chain again.

"Worn out"

Stayed in room 502 at the very north end of the building. Pros: Quiet room, friendly staff, free parking, decent breakfast, view was good for plane spotting, excellent location to MOA and Northstar Blue Line, kudos to the breakfast staff and their diligence! Cons: both beds are in need of replacement, the left side of one mattress was unusable as it was so worn down it felt like you would just roll out of the bed onto the floor, stained/dirty carpets, water in pool looked questionable, landscaping is overgrown and full of weeds, room over looked the rear of the hotel and TGIF/IHOP, the garbage was over flowing the dumpsters the whole stay, garbage blowing around, tables and chairs (assume broken) stored outdoors, just generally not well kept up. Will not stay here again.

"Location can't be beat for a visit to the Mall "

The location is very convenient and easily accessible. We used the skywalk to the mall several times. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good. One of our suites had some quirks, such as sticky doors, but for the most part the rooms were nice. The premium suite gave us the room to gather the whole family. We had a large party and some found the beds too soft, others too hard, so that's just a personal preference issue. The pull out sofas were well worn and both parties using them agreed...uncomfortable. We enjoyed the two pools/two hot tubs layout, allowing for separation and less crowding even on a busy Friday night. Overall a satisfying stay.
