"Comfort? Should be an EconoLodge"

Arrival on Saturday evening, status in loyalty program not recognized. Given room on third floor. Get to the room there is a red light on the card reader and of course both keycards do not work. Down to the front desk and FDC said he thought "they had fixed the lock". It now seems that we will have to stop and wait at the front desk for the FDC to escort us to our room to let us in via a physical key. Asked for a different room and told there is none available. At this point, we just felt we had to deal with and enter our room. Room was basically clean but small things stood out with dust in corners, dirty ice bucket and cover with NO liner for the ice (Used a ziplock I had). Hang my coat? well there were two metal dry cleaner hangers and nothing else. How about washing my hands? Our total towels were two bath towels, one wash cloth and a floor towel. No hand towels, no spare toilet paper. So now had to leave the wife in the room as we don't have a key and down to the front desk. Told there were no more towels. So now this two day stay we have to stop and wait on line to be let in our room, use the same bath towel to dry our hands and take a shower. ANd for breakfast one of stays in teh room or again wait for the FDC who was not at the desk at all times or wait in line at the desk for the FDC to be available to let us in the room. Never offered any compensation, not even points and when asked for compensation was told I had to speak to the nonexistent manager who supposedly fixed the door lock but I think the red light gives it away the lock was not fixed. This establishment not up to the standard of a Comfort Inn in the Choice program.

"Overbooking? Cancelled my reservation when I was already in CT."

I have never heard of this but apparently this hotel overbooked themselves on 6/28, and I guess because I was actually at an event that afternoon and couldn’t check in until 6pm , they gave my room away . Nice enough to offer you try and re-book us in another hotel and pay the cost difference, if any. Too late, I was angry and frustrated. At a local track to watch NASCAR truck racing with my autistic son, not an environment for answering or talking on the phone because there is no escape from the loud noise,and already over 300 miles from home . Finally after many calls I returned their call to find out I had no room to stay in anymore . They offered to book us in another hotel and pay the cost difference but at that point I still couldn’t really hear to have a productive conversation, certainly not to book a room at a different hotel . So I just said cancel the reservation, give me the refund and I’ll drive home . Never my plan . This was our one night away this summer….ruined . I didn’t know hotels could do this . Lesson learned . But I will never book a Comfort Inn again knowing this .

"Nice place!"

My husband and I stayed here for a night before a very early flight the next day. The room was clean and the staff we encountered were nice. The person that checked us in told us we could get coffee before we left. We had to leave at 4:30am so we knew we would miss breakfast. Also, the restaurant across the street, "Sophia's", was excellent!

"The Most Disgusting Hotel Room of My Life"

Our room at this hotel was by far the dirtiest I have ever stayed in. Here is a quick summary: 1. There was a dirty coffee cup on the floor when we entered the room. 2. Bed sheets on one of the beds had crumbs and some sort of (bodily?) fluids 3. Floors at the entrance were sticky (shoes got stuck as you walked) 4. There was a piece of a sausage or some sort of meat on the carpet by the bed 5. After we flushed the toilet once, it overflowed onto the floor 6. The paint to the walls was peeling, but honestly after everything else this really didn't matter to me.

Very comfortable beds in a nicely furnished quiet room that was spotless.Ample parking available. Efficient and personable office staff. Breakfast however was only mediocre with the usual standards but no fresh fruit or additions to few cereal choices. A common problem here.
