Pet Policy: Pets are allowed. The hotel offers dog-friendly rooms available in both Traditional and One-Bedroom Suites only. The pet fee is CAD 25 + tax per pet, per night—a maximum of two dogs permitted per room. Please notify the hotel directly prior to your arrival date if traveling with a pet. Pet-friendly rooms are limited.

"Not what I expected."

First off, I talked to the hotel directly to price match an internet price. It was $15/night cheaper than the hotel's quoted price. The internet deal was advertised as a "Superior King Room" and I stated that on the phone. They matched the price. I also asked for a downtown view (although there are not very good views from any of the rooms). We checked in and went to our assigned 2nd floor room. From looking at pictures on the Chateau's website, it was a standard, not superior, room with what is probably the worst view of any in the hotel - the roof of the extended first floor. Not a huge deal and we didn't complain. The thing I am most upset about is that we had to run a very noisy portable air conditioner throughout the two nights to keep the room cool. Remember, it is February, not July! And worst of all, my wife and I both came down with colds today. Aarrgggh!!

I was so impressed with this hotel that I can’t wait to return. The staff is top notch friendly, polite and helpful. They never seem to get flustered no matter how busy they are and they’re always smiling. I love that ours a family run business and that they support the opera and the symphony. I flew in from Toronto especially to see Tosca. I’ll be back to visit the chateau for sure.

Truly a gem in the heart of Victoria! My friend and I each had our own 1 BR on the same floor and both rooms were clean, comfortable and just lovely. I enjoyed the hotel pool and hot tub, and Clive's is great for a nightcap. The views from Vista 18 with dinner or a yummy appetizer can't be beat. Staff is professional and very helpful. At departure I noticed my tire was low. The front desk advised me of a nearby tire shop, and the hotel's maintenance man promptly assisted, using a battery operated air compressor to fill the tire, which enabled me to get to the repair shop. I really appreciate that exceptional service.

The front desk and the bellmen are knowledgeable and welcoming. Decent pool, hot tub, and a gym to get your workout done.
