Staff and amenities were fantastic. Great location. We used the business center which was a bonus, and we were so busy we didn't even get a chance to use what looked like great pools and mini golf. Sent over a recycle receptacle upon request (so request it!). We were in a building that seemed a little older (described as recently rehabbed, which it was), so the unit was a little smaller than we are used to for a group of four -- I will never understand why resorts can sleep 4+ but only provide 3 places to sit comfortably in the living area (one chair, one sofa) when we are all awake. Also we were never able to get hot water from the showers; we got warm water, sometimes just room temperature was the best we could get. The maintenance who was sent said we had hot water, but for the life of us, we couldn't get it.

"Christmas vacation at Blue Tree Resort"

We always stay at Holiday Inn at Orange Lake River Island. We wanted to be closer to Universal this time. This was our first and will be our last time staying at Blue Tree Resort. The suite was clean. We had an issue on Christmas morning when I tried to cook Christmas dinner and discovered the oven wasn't working!! I called the front desk and Terry said maintenance was coming to take a look at the stove. Two hours later no maintenance has come. I called the front desk again. Terry seemed frustrated and said she would call maintenance again. 20 mins later he arrived. He had to change out the oven and give us a new one. Now, the plans we had for the day were delayed.. I couldn’t finish cooking the food. I spoke to the GM about it, believe his name was Yellow.. I was explaining to him my frustration, his response wasn’t caring, or that he was concerned about our situation. He made excuses! Everything is outdated., from furniture to TVs. The TVs in the bedroom are very small you can’t see the bottom of the screen. Netflix had the football games on for Christmas. No TV in there was a smart TV. We didn’t bring our iPads. I asked the GM , if they had a smart TV so we could watch the FB games? He said no. About an hour later, Terry called and said the assistant GM was going to have someone bring us a smart TV so we can watch the football games. That was nice of him. We appreciated it. Guess it was to make up for the strove issue. The lamp in the master bedroom had a shortage. Every time you turn it on it flickers. So we never used it. The next day our room keys were not working. We went to the office to get new ones, a young white female with a brown ponytail ( do not remember her name) was at the front desk. She gave us new keys. We get to the room and those keys didn't work. We are standing outside the room with our to go food getting cold, while my husband walked back to the front desk to tell her those keys did not work. She said maintenance would come. The maintenance guy came and asked us were we standing in front of the correct room? Our room was 7-103.. He said the front desk told him 7-107.. No, it's 103.. He let us in checked the keys and saw none of them worked. He said he would be back with new keys. He came back and said the front desk asked him not to tell us, but she made a mistake and gave us the wrong room keys. She gave us 7-107 keys bc their name was George as well. We were locked out of our room for 30 mins. Customer service needs to be better

We had an issue with our room on Christmas night and were missing a few items, which could have easily turned into a very stressful situation. Ana at the front desk handled everything swiftly, professionally, and with genuine care. Despite it being a busy holiday and her assisting multiple guests at the same time, she made sure we felt heard and taken care of from start to finish. Her calm attitude, efficiency, and customer service truly stood out and turned our experience around. Ana is a huge asset to this property, and we’re very grateful for her help.
