Best Western Allentown Bethlehem Lehigh Valley Inn & Suites

We stayed here for 5 days Monday-Friday. Check in was good, since the elevator wasn’t working they put us in the first floor. On Tuesday night after 12 AM, when my husband and 2 kids were sleeping I decided to take a shower when I discovered ants in the bathroom. The next day I went to the front desk and simply asked if they had another room because there were ants in the bathroom. Lucy who was working at the front desk never once was apologetic or concerned for what I had brought up but rather had an attitude and asked why I didn’t tell someone last night. I let her know my two kids under 2 were sleeping and I didn’t want to wake them. She then stated she couldn’t do anything because I didn’t say anything sooner but all I asked is if they had another room available . She stated she only had a room available on the second floor and I said that was fine. I went up and down the stairs multiple times with both my kids and all our stuff since my husband was working. A few hours after settling into the new room my kids and I went for a walk and come back to the hotel. While I was making myself a coffee in the lobby I over heard Lucy talking to someone else in the front desk about me. She said “Some lady came in here talking about we have ants.. we didn’t find any ants and maybe if she wasn’t giving her kids lollipops she wouldn’t have ants.” I then when up to the front desk and asked why she was talking about me and that I had overheard everything she said. Once again she wasn’t apologetic but rather defensive. She said “how do you know I was talking about you and not someone else?” (If there’s multiple people saying there’s ants in theirs rooms that’s a problem no? To talk about another guest in general is super unprofessional.) I also let her know that I don’t give my kids candy, but of course I packed them snacks and yogurts for the stay but I made sure to clean up after ourselves when we left the room. She then contradicted herself by saying that she was telling him they didn’t find ants in our room (so she was taking about me). I told her I had taken pictures and she said to email them. She made the stay unwelcoming and awful. For someone who works in hospitality she lacks everything in her job description. STAY AWAY.

If this area is your destination, then this is your choice. The Best Western Allentown Bethlehem Lehigh Valley atmosphere, cleanliness, and especially staff were some of the best I have experienced in all my many years of travel. Every aspect either met or exceeded our expectations. . . . and they are pet friendly

Plenty of parking:) Checking-In and Out was easy:) Room overall came off clean but needs updated! Curtains look old and dirty😟 Nice hot shower water with good pressure:) Shampoo empty🫩 Shower/tub has seen better days🫩 Good TV with good channel selection:) Nice bath towels:) Quiet night sleep:) Breakfast was better than most BW’s, good variety😃 I found all the employees friendly and engaging:)

Worst customer service I ever had at a hotel from the start had a disrespectful lady at desk, then came to check in another time and was sitting at front desk for 30 minutes waiting for the guy to come check us in! Even after all that still gave them money to stay here and was asked to leave after they ran my debit card and booked the room for another night! Never in my life have I ever seen customer service like this from 1st shift to 3rd shift this place needs to be looked into

We were on a bus tour and unfortunately had to spend 2 nights at this terrible hotel-one on the way to our destination and one on the way home. This was already under contract between the tour company and the hotel so we had no say in whether we returned for the 2nd night or not. There were multiple things that happened within our group that were the fault of the hotel. - no bath towels in room - stair access smelled terrible - only one elevator - luggage handling was terrible-took over 2 hours for luggage to arrive to room. I actually went down and retrieved our luggage myself. - nasty carpet in our room-badly stained and needsd replacing - 4 pillows on each bed and not one of them was comfortable-they flattened out immediately - small bathroom-barely room on vanity for toiletries I could go on and on about the issues we and the rest of our group had.
