"Needs a deep cleaning - especially the carpet"

This motel is definitely showing its age and is in need of a good cleaning and update. The stay wasn't terrible, but there were a few things that need immediate improvement. 1. The pillows are terrible. Why don't you have king-size pillows on a king-size bed? They have very small, wimpy pillows. 2. The room is dark. Even with all the lights on. 3. Everything felt sticky. 4. The floor is dark. Apparently, the reason is to cover up the filth. I usually wear flip flops in a hotel room, but hubs didn't. When he took a shower, the water turned black when he washed the bottom of his feet. We had showered that morning, and we always scrub our feet well. We had shoes on all day. Seriously?? Why not steam clean the carpets a minimum of once per month when you're renting rooms for $200+ per night? We won't stay here again.

"Bad customer service"

Just wanted to share an unfortunate experience we had with this motel. We were currently doing a road trip down the coast and called to reserve a room. Rooms along this stretch are hard to come by, so we were glad to have the room even at the high price. I spoke to someone for 20 minutes who took all my information including my mailing address in case we left something behind. Got my credit card, email etc. I never received an email confirmation so I called the next morning to confirm we had tools and ask for a confirmation number only to find out the rooms never got booked. The rooms sold out before our transaction was completed but I was never notified of that. If I hadn't called I would have arrived three days later with no rooms. The gentleman that helped was nice and helped me locate other rooms, but when I asked to speak to a manager he told me that wasn't possible. He said there was no manager on duty and they just come and go so none was available. I feel like this is the worst kind of customer service. It might be a nice place , but just beware of the reservation practice and the fact there was no communication that I didn't actually get a room until I called back. Bad business!

"Friendly Staff and Scenic Setting"

My family really enjoyed our short stay at The Beachcomber. Check-in was quick, and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We rented hotel bikes and rode to MacKerricher State Park just to the north—such a fun and scenic ride. One of the highlights was relaxing by the fire pit right outside our room on the beautiful deck overlooking the coast. The rooms are on the smaller side but very clean, and you truly can’t beat the location.

Great views and Clean Hotel with fantastic views. WE have always loved this place and we always stay at Beachcomber. Staff is great and friendly also! The beaches have easy access and the location could not be better. A great place to stay with family.

The service at the hotel was exceptional. Upon arrival, the staff greeted us with such warmth that it felt as though they were already familiar with us. The room was impeccably clean and had a fresh scent, contributing to a pleasant atmosphere. Additionally, the team was not only friendly but also eager to assist with any needs we had during our stay.
