"A Nice Stay"

We needed a hotel that welcomed large dogs. This hotel welcomed us with dog treats and a list of dog friendly restaurants. They gave us a room on the patio near the doggy relief area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The only drawback was that the room didn't have air conditioning and was a little stuffy. We opened the patio door to allow the air in, but since we were on the communal patio, it was quite noisy until about 9pm. Overall, it was a nice place to stay.

We enjoyed a one-night stay at the Beachcomber Motel during our trip of the Oregon and Northern California coast. The views from our second-floor room across the ocean were wonderful. The room was decent, clean and quiet and had everything we needed. The check-in staff were welcoming and helpful. Plenty of parking however, no elevators. The motel is located just a short drive into town.

Okay so the upstairs suites are huge like a small apartment in NYC. We had a hot tub which was a liability. The check in process is chock full of officious threats about water damage and dog hair. Entirely unfriendly. The hot tub is then not filled over the jets. Take the lid off and the jets shoot water everywhere - phones, laptops, electronics. Soaked a lamp that subsequently almost killed me. Spent hours cleaning up the floods of water. Then filled hot tub ourselves and enjoyed it for the rest of the stay. Beautiful balcony, sea view, bed, but bathroom was weirdly pokey and old. Food available in lobby for a price. It’s a great hotel with some really poorly thought out elements.

"Worth a stay for the views"

Let me start by saying this motel is in such a gorgeous location. Our second-floor room had a beautiful view of the ocean. The beach is also just spectacular. Huge rock formations and soft sand made this our favorite stop of the trip. Walking the beach at night was just magical. As others have mentioned, there is no A/C which seemed odd as our room got rather stuffy; however, a box fan was provided upon request and we slept with the sliding door open all night and it was peaceful. It was really nice to see the ocean from our beds also. The bathroom was comically small and uncomfortable. I did not mind the sink outside of the bathroom, but traveling as a family was awkward when there was not enough room to get dressed in the bathroom. I was also surprised that no breakfast was provided or offered; however, the coffee in the lobby was really good. We only stayed one night, so we did not use the bikes or fire pits, but both looked enjoyable. I really appreciated having actual mugs in the rooms also - it is nice to sit on the deck with an actual cup of coffee. The staff was all very friendly and gave great dining recommendations.

"Was OK, but would choose somewhere else next time"

Hotel really needs updating. Toilets flushed slow. Water pressure low. No breakfast and no restaurant on site. Not even a seating area in the lobby. We stayed 3 nights which apparently meant that we got no maid service during that time, although we paid full price (no discount for no maid service). Staff at front desk was very nice, but we likely would not stay here again
