Took this tour hoping to see San Francisco. The buses were terrible. Fumes from the engine went through the cabin. The second bus had closed windows but no air conditioners. We roasted. They added an extra $10 per ticket by adding a tour of Sausalito that we didn’t ask for. Didn’t realize it until too late for a refund. My throat is still sore from the fumes. We got off and took a Uber back to our starting point but we’re out $130 for our 2 tickets. Not a good experience.

"This company ruined my NY trip."

We got tickets from the guy who sells at Times Square. He told us that buses come every 15min but buses didn't show up even though we waited over 2 hours. The staff was so rude. We tried to refund our tickets but it took over 1 hour as well. We could not do anything that night. Eventually, we couldn't get a refund. I don't understand how they still can manage their own company.

"Very poor service- use BigBus Tours instead"

Our first experience with this company was a very run down bus with horrible audio quality and awful seats. Later, our bus actually broke down and we had to get off. Now I’m using my pass for the second day, and the buses are spaced so far apart. In the time I’ve been waiting for a bus, five BigBus Tours buses have come by.

"Slow service"

We waited while three full buses went past out stop. When we finally (1hr 20mins later...) got onto a bus, the traffic is so slow around parts of the city that it ends up being really boring. They also go through sections of the city that have little to no interesting things to see. Better off walking.

I like to book hop off hop on tours in cities where I don't rent a car and don't want to rely on public transportation to get me to my destinations. I went with my sister and our 13 year old nephew. And we really enjoyed ourselves. We even did the add on for Sausilito and while there found a shop that sold Tin Tin books. That was nostalgic for my sister and I. The only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the tour takes you through the Tenderloin neighborhood while explaining its poverty. It is clearly a rough neighborhood, one I would not feel comfortable walking in and this was during the day. Poverty is not something to gawk at. If the tour wishes to keep that neighborhood in its route then part of the ticket proceeds should automatically go toward that neighborhood to help in the bettering of it, otherwise it's just a distasteful drive-thru. It would make more sense to drive through billionaires row if the tour wants visitors to see parts of the city.
