Boat elevators, bridges, and Ballards, oh my! Prime yourself for over 120 years of Seattle history in two hours. Speed through charming neighborhoods and floating home communities. Even catch a glimpse of the infamous Hiram M. Chittenden Ballard on your Seattle Locks Cruise.

For over a century, the Locks have served as a barrier between Puget Sound and the freshwater beyond. In addition, this ‘boat elevator ' aids vessels in traveling between the two areas. The water levels are routinely at different heights.

Whip out that camera as you won't want to miss a moment of legendary landmarks such as:

  • Gas Works Park
  • the Great Wheel
  • Olympic Sculpture Park

Snag a first-hand look at the Kenmore seaplanes and large fishing vessels that dot this area. Movie buffs will be in rom-com heaven as they spot the famous houseboat from ‘Sleepless in Seattle’ as well as the historic Fremont and Ballard bridges.

Please note that this is a one-way cruise. Starting at Pier 54 on the Seattle Waterfront or AGC Marina on Lake Union and ends in a new location. While return transportation is not provided, we encourage you to utilize this opportunity to explore vibrant areas like South Lake Union and Downtown Seattle.
