Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites - Waterpark, an IHG Hotel

Definitely a great experience! So many amenities included with your wristband that’s included in your cost ! Staff was very helpful, friendly and attentive. Room was cute, clean and comfortable. Legitimately go park and not have to leave until check out. Our room wasn’t ready for check in time 4:00, it was ready at 5:00 , they credited my card for the inconvenience. While waiting for our room to be ready we were still free to use the amenities . Which actually allowed us to walk around and get somewhat familiar with the resort. The only downfall was the other was under construction , which wasn’t mentioned but we made the best of it !

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Water Park by IHG and it was awful from start to finish. The hotel room itself was super dirty — the rug was wet, the top bunk was damaged, the bathroom floor was filthy, and the couch looked disgusting. When I booked through Expedia, I was told I’d pay an extra $98 at the hotel, but it turned out to be way more: $31 per parking space for me and my mom, plus over $73 per day in resort fees. This place absolutely shouldn’t cost anywhere near that much, considering what you get. When we arrived the first day, the pool was closed with no explanation, so we had no choice but to walk to the nearby entrance mall for dinner. The food there was overpriced and honestly not very good. The next day (Saturday), we tried to use the pool around 11 a.m., but it was overcrowded — way more people than it could hold — and the water was murky. After a short while, they shut the pool down again for a random “pool break” without telling anyone why. Out of the two days we stayed, we only got to use the pool for about two hours total. To make matters worse, the section where we were placed was under construction, so huge parts of the parking lot were blocked by machinery. At night, we couldn’t even find parking and ended up leaving the car in front of a sealed container like everyone else. We even had a handicap placard but couldn’t use it because people without disabilities were taking those spots and no one from the hotel seemed to care. The atmosphere overall wasn’t friendly or family-oriented at all. There were people openly smoking weed around the property, and it just didn’t feel safe or welcoming — definitely not what you expect at a “family resort.” I won’t be coming back, and I absolutely wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Spend your money somewhere cleaner, safer, and actually family-friendly.

The kids had fun, however, you have to pay a parking fee of $30/day. Nothing is included, no breakfast, but lots of restaurants near by. Elevator did not work, had to use the elevator for the 10th floor during my 5 day stay.

We had a great stay overall at the Holiday Resort with the Waterpark! The kids and the adults had a great time at the waterpark and then all the amenities to do afterwards! The suites were great with the separate rooms and everything was very clean. I liked the fact that we can just text for any additional items we needed to be delivered to our room, it was the best! The theater would have been nice to see it open every night , Vieka did an awesome job entertaining us the 2 nights it was available during our stay. We liked the variety of food vendors at the marketplace, the Mexican was never open during our stay though. The Hideaway Grill has a really nice ambiance, Andres was on point and very pleasant. The Hummus with pita chips, Chicken Kabobs, Tiger Sprimps and the Chicharron were delish! The kids burger should be the same from the Burger Theory though, the one at the Hideaway tasted more like cornbeef , and the rice was not that appetizing either :( Kids do def want to return soon and we will be recommending to all of our friends for a great time, without having to leave the resort. Ty!!

Very unhappy with this resort. I truly don’t even think it should be called a resort when I got here. I still owed an enormous amount of fees. That was fine when I got to my room the two bedroom is not a true two bedroom. There’s not even a second bedroom nor door to go to it. There is one bathroom in the room that is decent, but the tub was very old and scratched the room itself is very tiny for a two bedroom. It is not much bigger than most studio rooms. We have not had fast class in days. We keep requesting them however we’ve only gotten towels and have had to wash the towels. The line is extremely long in the lobby. You will be in line for at least 30 minutes for even a simple request. I got this hotel primarily for the waterpark that was advertised on the website. The waterpark is a joke since we’ve been here they have not had one day where all of the slides have been open It really just two slides with me when they do have the waterpark open. There are extremely long lines for the couple of slides that they have a. I do understand that they are doing construction, but the current water park is ridiculous. There is just one pool for everybody here.! The pool has ran out of towels before 7 o’clock and advised they would not be getting anymore today. The bar had to close down early for whatever reason this is really one of the worst resources that I have stayed at. There are about 12 kids in the hot tub at one time unsupervised. This does not look like a true resort that I thought I was getting considering I booked this for me and my kids and I’m truly disappointed. This feels like a Super 8 with a different name. They are doing construction on a new waterpark which they give you $20 a day credit. Credit can be used in their marketplace however when we went to get a funnel cake that was not working either hopefully after they complete their upgrades, it will be a much better resort, but for now I would not come back. They are not equipped to handle the number of guest they have.
