"Does Not meet My Wyndham Standards"
TripAdvisor user rating 2.0 out of 5

We were in town for a soccer tournament and thought the location of the Wyndham and the usual quality of Wyndham’s would make for a good lodging choice….WRONG!!! The front lobby was beautiful but once you wander into the halls with the rooms it becomes dismal. It was dirty, walls with holes and scuff marks and poorly lit. The room did not get much better. The beds were definitely not queen and the room was so oddly arranged that it was not comfortable. Aside from the front desk area, the whole hotel needs a makeover, including outside areas like the cracked tennis court and the pot-holed basketball area. Also would like to note that the breakfast that you need to pay for is terrible. The selection is scarce and staffing is almost non existent. We cancelled our breakfast the second morning because it was clearly not worth the price we paid. Overall it was a very disappointing stay and will not return to this hotel site.

"hotel and conference area was great, hidden food cost was unacceptable"
TripAdvisor user rating 4.0 out of 5
Reviewed February 03, 2026 NEW
While the guest rooms were more than adequate and the conference space was appropriately sized, I was extremely disappointed with how the breakfast pricing was handled. Throughout the property, signage clearly stated: “With reservation $15 / Walk-in $21.” The plain reading of this language suggests that guests with a hotel reservation would pay $15, while individuals walking in without a reservation would pay $21. Based on that signage, I expected to pay $15 as a registered hotel guest attending a conference. However, on the first morning I was charged $21. When I questioned the discrepancy, I was told that I would have needed to make a separate reservation specifically for breakfast in order to receive the $15 rate. I immediately went to the front desk to correct the issue, but was informed that this arrangement would have needed to be made at check-in. This requirement was never explained to me during check-in, nor was it posted clearly anywhere in the breakfast area. What was most frustrating was the complete lack of flexibility or willingness to resolve the issue. I was told that I would need to continue paying $21 for the remainder of my stay. Rather than addressing the misleading signage or offering any form of accommodation, the staff simply removed the signage. The issue was not the $6 difference itself, but the principle. Charging conference guests a higher rate due to unclear or inadequately communicated policies reflects poorly on the hotel’s professionalism and customer service standards.

"A neat hotel/convencion center with a lot of personality :-)"

I attended for HMGS Fall In! and while I can't speak for having stayed overnight, as I just went to the convention in one day, I can say that the staff were helpful and kind, and the grounds and building were well maintained. This is one of my favorite places on earth to be honest, as I have so many fond memories of conventions here over the past three decades, so that should hopefully tell you a little something.

The room was pretty filter, seemed like the staff just changed the sheets and the carpet wasn't washed or vacuum. Night stand wasn't whipped down.
