"Loved our weekend at the W"
TripAdvisor user rating 5.0 out of 5

My family and I spent the night at the W to celebrate my youngest daughter’s birthday. We were greeted by Makaela, who not just checked us in, but made sure we were set up for a fantastic weekend getaway. Our room was not ready, but she made sure we had access to the pool and personally made sure my daughters were shown to the pool when they arrived. Our pool experience was fantastic. JD was our server and he was terrific! He made sure a good time was had by all. We had not reserved a cabana, and it was quite warm. When is asked if we could get an umbrella, they let me know they did not have umbrellas available. Five minutes later one of the managers came over and let us know that they were not very crowded and that if we wanted to use one of the cabanas upstairs, we were more than welcome. I was so appreciative of that. We ended up having a lovely afternoon, not frying in the sun before we were set to go to dinner and see a show across the street at the Pantages. I did not get the manager’s name, but we were there the afternoon of October 11, 2025 so whoever the manager on duty was, thank you so much. ! Our dinner experience wasn’t great as it seemed the hotel was understaffed. Our waiter did not come around very often and there was an issue with the Bill. But the food was good! On October 12, we had a wonderful waitress who made sure we were able to get in before breakfast surface had ended. Again the hotel was understaffed, but she really did her best and it was an overall enjoyable experience. Also, Mikaela made sure that our Marriott breakfast credits Were posted to our bill. Overall, our experience was so great and it’s clear that most of the employees at this hotel really love their jobs and it’s so rare to see that these days unfortunately. We will definitely be returning. Extra shout out to Mikaela who went above and beyond several times for us during our stay

The hotel is so beautiful with amazing an ambiance. It’s right in Hollywood so it’s very convenient. The bar was also nice. The rooms are nice and clean. The staff was amazing from beginning to end. Yes it’s pricey but I would definitely recommend because it is worth it.

"oaring Lions, Name-Remembering Porters & Breakfast Maestros: My W Hollywood Experience"
TripAdvisor user rating 5.0 out of 5
Reviewed October 03, 2025 NEW
I recently stayed two nights at W Hotel Hollywood on a business trip, and although check-in had a tiny hiccup, Nate Livingston, the Front Desk Manager, showed up like a roaring lion ready to tame the wildest chaos—and boy, did he deliver! Nate didn’t just fix my issue; he went full superhero mode, going above and beyond to make sure my stay wasn’t just a visit but a full-blown experience. In a world where people often forget how to create magic, Nate is the living, breathing definition of hospitality done right. Now, let’s talk about the porters and the charming gentlemen who greet you when you arrive. These guys aren’t just porters—they're like the unofficial welcoming committee with a PhD in warm smiles and courteous charm. There was one particular gentleman—wish I could remember his name—who became my unofficial sidekick. The man actually remembered my name! I’m convinced he has a photographic memory or maybe a secret scanner in his pocket. Either way, that level of attentiveness made me feel like Hollywood royalty, or at least like a VIP in a rom-com. And then there’s Jeremy. Oh, Jeremy. Tall, eloquent, handsome Jeremy who runs the breakfast shift like a maestro conducts an orchestra. But this isn’t your average “Have you decided what you want to eat?” kind of service. Jeremy talks to guests like you’re old friends catching up, weaving charm and care into every interaction—and frankly, I’m convinced that breakfast tastes better when Jeremy is in the room. If breakfast were an Oscars category, Jeremy would win Best Supporting Actor every single day. W Hollywood, the team here doesn’t just serve—it performs. Can’t wait to come back and spend some more time bathing in your hospitality glow. Keep shining bright, folks!

"Daughters 12th Birthday was made so special by the staff"
TripAdvisor user rating 5.0 out of 5
Reviewed September 22, 2025
A few days before our stay, we almost switched hotels. When booking, we were told rollaway beds were available, but just before our trip we learned they weren’t offered at all. Since it was so last-minute, we couldn’t change hotels… thankfully, that turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Check-in was seamless, even though we arrived around 11:30pm. Luke at the front desk was so kind and took the time to explain all of our Amex Fine Hotels benefits. We were celebrating our daughter’s 12th birthday and had noted it on our reservation. To our surprise, when we entered the room, it was decorated with balloons, a birthday banner, sparkling organic apple cider, and even a gorgeous cake. Our daughter felt incredibly special, and we were honestly shocked by how thoughtful this complimentary gesture was. Huge thanks to Allison, Mariana, and the rest of the team who helped make it so memorable. The housekeeping and room service teams also went above and beyond. Our room was spotless throughout our stay, and the turndown service was such a treat, we’d return to find chocolates, macarons, and sodas waiting for us each evening. We also enjoyed breakfast daily at Goldie Café, where Joshua quickly became our favorite server. He was funny, sweet, and absolutely wonderful with our kids. Overall, the level of customer service we experienced here is unmatched and we’ve stayed at quite a few luxury properties. We’re already looking forward to our next stay (this time, without the kids!). A heartfelt thank you to the entire W Hollywood team for making our visit unforgettable.
