"Charge arm and a leg for rooms threaten to charge me 250 if I smoke cigarettes in the room but whole place reeks of weed"

"Dingy, dirty and you are not the only creature staying in your room!"

My family and I stayed at the Tropicana last weekend for our child's tournament that was being hosted there. The elevators took forever and wreaked like marijuana. Our room smelled musty, only one of the lamps worked and worst of all we found cockroaches crawling on the dresser! There is also no security or room key requirement for the elevators so anyone off the street has access to your hotel floor. I trapped a cockroach under a cup, took pictures and reported it to the manager in the hotel lobby, who offered nothing more than a room change. Even after showing him the photographs he was only willing to issue a credit of $100 when we spent over $600 for the room. We moved to another room and the carpet had stains so I returned to the hotel lobby to request the next level manager. On the way, I spoke with an employee who told me to specifically request the casino manager or one of the directors. The lobby manager outright refused to call any other manager, director or to refund our money. I explained that my family did not feel comfortable staying in the hotel due to the conditions. I spent over an hour, going around in circles with the lobby manager until I he reluctantly offered half credit. I followed up with Caesers Entertainment since they own the Tropicana. I requested a call from management and was told I would receive one. After three days, I only received a generic email. Stay away from this property. The Tropicana Hotel is gross and Caesers Entertainment doesn't care about cleanliness or you as a customer.

"We’ll stay off site next year…"

-elevators took FOREVER. We ended up hauling our luggage down three flights of stairs. And then up several ramps in the parking garage because the line for the garage elevators was insane. -Terrible smell of cigarette smoke throughout the building - we were there for a youth cheer event, not for the casino. -Confusing layout. -Indoor pool was only open 10 to 6. -TV in the room was slow & dated.

"Awful stay"

Room was dirty, 2 lights in room, Reception at Chicks and Pete’s was rude. West Tower 48 & 59 floors fire alarm evacuation without any supervision by hotel staff. Had to walk down 49 floors into an alley and then proceeded to get worst. Will never ever stay there again!

"Caesars cutbacks!"

The rooms are nice enough, and there are lots of food choices, but if you’re going to play slots or video poker , Harrah’s is a much better choice. They make it very difficult to get a drink, even when you’re playing! At the bars where I normally like to play Video Poker, they would not serve me a complementary drink because I did not have a platinum or diamond card! If you’re playing slots on the floor, you have to play enough credits and then order your drink on the slot machine. they have also made it more difficult to use their complementary shuttle to other casinos. Now you have to have a certain amount of credits and print a ticket just to ride the shuttle to one of their other properties! I’ll never stay at Tropicana again, if I choose to go back to Atlantic City, I will definitely stay at Harrah’s.
