Treasure Hunt is a dark ride, which means it's an indoor amusement ride that takes you through a series of immersive storytelling scenes.
Armed with a "Treasure Collector" device, you'll navigate through caverns, duel with ghostly pirates, and collect treasures, making for a dynamic and interactive journey.
This award-winning ride is conveniently located on historic Cannery Row, near the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Expect the entire experience, including queue line entertainment and the ride itself, to last approximately 20 minutes.
Tickets are valid for use on the date selected, so plan your visit accordingly.

Experience California's new pirate-themed attraction, Treasure Hunt: The Ride. Located in Monterey's historic Cannery Row, this fun and interactive dark ride adventure combines cutting-edge animatronics with storytelling and thrilling special effects for an unforgettable family-friendly adventure.

Learn the legend of the notorious pirate Captain Hippolyte Bouchard and his crew of scallywags who hid their treasure in the newly discovered caverns 300 feet beneath Cannery Row. Armed with an interactive "Treasure Collector" device, try to collect the treasure while fighting off the ghosts of Captain Bouchard and his Skeleton Crew and avoiding the giant Kraken!

This 20-minute immersive adventure begins with your first step on the stairs that descend around a 30-foot-tall wooden mast with an animatronic pirate named Shark Bait Sam and his trusty sidekick parrot, Scuttle. Below deck, catch a five-minute backstory video and an elevator pre-show before embarking on your adventure in an old-fashioned ore cart.

A final bonus scene awaits as you triumphantly return to civilization.

Four guest each oar embarks on an elevator ride that delivers them 300’ into the depths of the caverns below.

Skeletons are found on the caves hideout overseeing the treasure chests and an interactive photo of infamous Pirate Captain Hippolyte Bouchard.

Skeletons are seen to be maneuvering motion, flashing lights, sounds, scents and a light mist.

As guests board the ride they are taken in an old-fashioned ore cart equipped with interactive “Treasure Collectors” that allow them to collect treasure and fend off dangers, including cave creatures, skeleton pirates, and the ghost of Bouchard himself!
