This place is unique and fabulous! You don’t need to be an art lover to appreciate the decor and the eclectic, fun, but classy vibe. The staff was very friendly yet always professional.

"Exceptional Stay In The Heart Of The Historic District"

Conveniently located in the Historic District, this property offers beautifully decorated rooms filled with stunning artwork. From the moment you arrive, the experience feels special—champagne at check-in, mimosas on Sundays, sherry in the afternoons, and milk and cookies in the evenings. I stayed at The Enclave, the charming sister property across the street, which provided easy access to the rooftop bar featuring great cocktails and food. We hosted our leadership meeting in The Gallery at The Enclave, and Vic went above and beyond to provide exceptional service. It’s truly the most gorgeous meeting room I’ve ever booked. We opted for Charleston BBQ catering, which was a hit with our group. I stayed in the suite by the gallery, complete with a comfortable living area—very convenient for our meeting setup. The upper-floor rooms showcase beautiful exposed beams, hardwood floors, and some even have fireplaces. While the walls are a bit thin (as expected in a historic building), the charm, character, and location more than make up for it. The property’s walkability to many fantastic restaurants made it even better. Highly recommend this gem for both leisure and small group events.

"Great choice in the French Quarter"

Even before arriving, we received a nice text and emails to make sure all our requests were addressed. This was a good sign! We arrived to a truly warm welcome from Dannielle. And that level of service continued to be wonderful throughout our stay. The room was updated, though there were carpeted areas of the hallway that needed to be replaced. Our room was quiet and comfortable. Blackout shades made it easy to sleep in. There was a light, continental breakfast delivered daily. A problem with the heat in the room was quickly addressed with a text message to management. There was daily housekeeping, which is becoming a rarity. And the room was spotless. The hotel features a fun, rooftop bar/restaurant, as well as an award-winning fine dining restaurant on the main floor. Wine is offered daily, as well as a guided tour of the artwork which is present throughout the public areas. The location is great, within easy walking distance of nice bars and restaurants, and not far from lively King Street shopping. I am sure we will go back there if we return to Charleston.

"Kudos to The Vendue!"

We were very pleased with our stay at The Vendue. Concierge, Nicholas guided us through check in, answered all of our questions during our stay and ensured our time at The Vendue was well spent. The Vendue is in a very good location and within walking distance to many of Charleston’s historical attractions, the famed City Market, and the Water Taxi. The art throughout the hotel is brilliantly displayed. Highly recommend attending the art tour hosted by Art Director, Allison Stone. The breads and fruit breakfast left at our door every morning was the perfect ‘start of the day’ meal for us. The Premier King room was a piece of art in itself. The Rooftop was a good place to unwind, talk about the day’s adventures and plan for tomorrow. Kudos to Alyssa and Tim for their friendliness and service at The Rooftop. We dined in Revival, too. The service and meal were both excellent. Matt, the General Manager, who like us, is from Maryland checked in to ensure we were enjoying the dining experience…..especially the crab cake. We highly recommend The Vendue!

Everyone was very welcoming from the moment we pulled up to the Vendue starting with bellman Harvey and receptionist Jessica. She worked on getting into a wonderful room early as we arrived before 12n. Each of the facilities is unique and charming in its own way. Everything was very clean and bright. Our room was very well lighted even without a window. The bathroom is set up well and our king sized bed was very comfortable. The breakfast each morning was tasty, water is readily available as are treats and daily drinks. All very nice touches. The hotel location right by the harbor is excellent. Other standout employees were Sarah, Cameron and Steven at Revival restaurant and the rooftop bar, both highly recommended. Would certainly suggest staying at the Vendue while in downtown Charleston.
