"Lovely stay until…."

My sister and I stayed August 2, 2025-August 3. The hotel was lovely and the room was comfortable. The staff was pleasant at check in and check out. Everything was wonderful until I got home and noticed I had damage to my car. There is no garage at the hotel so I valet parked. The car was not moved by me during my stay. I hand washed my car the day before the trip and had not driven it after the wash so I know there was no damage at check in. I drove straight home after checkout and noticed the damage when I was unloading my luggage. It was very early when I checked out so I didn’t see the damage when I loaded my suitcase on the passenger side of the car. I unloaded on the drivers side when I arrived home and saw the damage. My sister could attest to the damage not being present previously as well. The hotel and its insurance are both denying the claim. I was told I didn’t find it at the hotel. I have NO doubt if I found it there I would be told it must have been there before check in. I am sure either way I couldn’t win. I called corporate and no help there either. $1700 damage done to my car and out of my pocket to no fault of my own. If you valet parked I suggest you video the car before giving it to them and check it well at check out. Otherwise it’s tough luck. I certainly wish I had.

"Amazing team and hotel"

The Skirvin Hotel in Oklahoma City was a fantastic place to stay. The amenities were great, but the people were even better. Everyone was great, but I feel compelled to single out two team members for their over-the-top service. First was Jason, who served us in the dining room on several occasions over the weekend. I came into town with a large group of college friends from the West Coast to for the weekend to go to the Oklahoma/Michigan football game. On Friday night, we returned to the hotel rather late, but were still hoping to have a nice dinner. With the dining room on the verge of closing, Jason and his team quickly set up a private room to serve more than 12 of us a fantastic late dinner. The food and drinks were great, but the excellent service was what really caught our attention. Jason‘s positivity and enthusiasm made the experience extremely special. Later that weekend, his upbeat, enthusiastic nature made our breakfast equally memorable. Most regrettably, upon my checkout, I inadvertently left an important custom-made dental device in my room. I did not realize this until I was already back on the West Coast. I nervously called the hotel, and was politely directed to housekeeping. There, Mackenzie spearheaded an effort to locate it. She then called me with the good news that they found it, which was a huge relief to me. She then immediately overnighted it to me. I got it the next day as promised. She was an absolute lifesaver, and a great joy to interact with. The hotel management should be incredibly proud of these two dedicated team members!

The Skirvin is hands-down my favorite hotel—an Oklahoma City gem that blends timeless elegance with modern comfort. Every visit is a treat. The historic renovation is stunning, the rooms are immaculate, and the entire property feels safe, serene, and carefully maintained. The parking staff ROCKS. From the moment you walk in, you feel truly welcome—professional, warm, and attentive without being overbearing. The on-site restaurant is a standout (seriously, don’t skip breakfast), and if you're up for a short stroll, you'll find a great mix of dining, coffee, and entertainment options close by. Whether I’m there for work or a weekend getaway, I always leave already planning my next stay.

We came to Oklahoma to meet our new puppy. We had reservations at an airport hotel but drove into the city to have dinner and found this hotel and restaurant. Turns out we had a great dinner in the casual restaurant but the elegant restaurant seems very nice. More importantly, our server Bailey was so personable and the food was so good we decided to stay at the hotel rather than drive back to the airport hotel. Skylar who made our reservation could not have been nicer. If you find yourself in Oklahoma City DO NOT eat or stay anywhere else but at this elegant hotel and wonderful restaurant. Great service, great people, great accommodations. Almost made us think about moving to Oklahoma City if we were reasonably sure everyone was this nice and still very professional.
