"Subpar at Best, Lots of Homeless"

Looking forward staying here for 2 days. Austin Stevens gave my family and I a tour of 311, which Austin is a lot of fun and into the paranormal along with my daughter. We stayed on the 6th floor Corner room Premier Double Beds very small room, all of the rooms are small. The Penthouse only suits 2 but has a lot of room for 5-6 and was told no rollaway beds allowed? Bar food is good, the complimentary champagne, actually sparkling wine cannot drink horrible and the shower faucet head is horrible as well with very little water. Lots of homeless around the area and in the lobby and Starbucks attached definitely drives off the elegance and supposedly prestige of this hotel. I wouldn’t stay again.

Front desk very friendly and welcoming. Bar staff nice and attentive and makes great drinks. The Bridgeman’s Chophouse is wonderful for dinner. Attentive wait staff, wonderful food, gorgeous atmosphere.

I took my wife here as a treat while traveling. It was decorated for Christmas everything was wonderful. The staff was very kind and everything was clean. It was like stepping back in time in a good way.

First time in Chattanooga and we always like to stay in a historic hotel so we stayed at "The Read House". Check in was easy, the hotel employees were great. The hotel is located downtown and the Only issue is the the parking. You can park yourself on the street of across the street in a parking garage or the hotel has valet parking offered by the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel has a restaurant and a separate bar and grill. We had cocktails and food in the "Bar and Billiards" in the hotel. The food and drinks were great. We will stay again if in the area.
