"OK stay for conference"

Absolutely gorgeous hotel in downtown Chattanooga. Super easy walk to the convention center. I suffer from severe asthma, and our room on the 10th floor had a smell like a greasy restaurant. The hallway smelled like someone was flame grilling hamburgers. We must have been near the restaurant ventilation system. My husband and I have stayed at the Read House before and did not experience anything like this, but we were on the opposite side of the building during our previous stay and apparently away from the hotel restaurant. Our room was also really cold and hard to keep set to temperature. It took a long time for the water to get hot as well. The shower was lukewarm at best. Still a beautiful hotel with a ton of history and charm.

Amazing from beginning to end. Our first time staying, doing the Jubilee, Santa pics, crafts with elves, hot cocoa and cookies, elf tuck in, breakfast with Santa and Mrs Claus. We ordered room service and that was a big hit. Also visited the on site Star Buck's. Felt very safe for our first time.

Beautiful Hotel and Friendly Staff, Great Location with Beautiful Christmas scenery… The park nearby was decorated with lots of different Christmas Trees. Great place to spend Thanksgiving weekend with your family and friends. Looking forward to stay here again in the spring time!

The Read House is such a special hotel. If you want a pampering stay with an excellent bar and walkable to restaurants, this is your place. It is gorgeous and the rooms are large and very clean. We always sleep so well here. We can’t wait for our next visit!
