Best beach hotel we’ve ever stayed at! Everything was spotless, dog-friendly, and the beds were unbelievably cozy. The view and location were unbeatable. My son loved being able to bounce between the beach, a quick lunch, and then the water slides. The resort is tucked away from the craziness of the boardwalk, which made it feel quiet and safe. Honestly, there’s so much to do right on site that two days wasn’t nearly enough. We’ll definitely be staying here every time we visit Myrtle!

The Ellie is amazing. It’s clean, has a great selection of pools as it’s connected to the doubletree. Has a lazy river, restaurant and bar serve great food. Jeff the bartender is nice. Located directly on the beach, nice walk up to MB state park and pier. Springmaid pier access with your stay. They have corn hold, table tennis, a small pool table to use. We live coming here.

This hotel does NOT live up to the price tag. From the moment I got here I knew I had pay too much for this so called resort. I would classify this more as a motel 6 on the beach with a few water slides. Let's get to it: Pros: -Beach was amazing and it was steps away from the hotel -room was older but updated and clean -all rooms seem to have an ocean view (dont pay extra for it) Cons -hotel grounds need a lot of maintenance -breakfast buffet that costs $22.00 is like a continental breakfast that should be free w/an omelet station. They served the same breakfast everyday. Not worth $22.00 at all -bathrooms in the hotel for guest use rarely had soap available. The soap they did have was the soft soap from the dollar store. -the pool was always cold (but that wasnt the biggest issue), and we never had towels when the pool opened. I realized early on why people didnt return the towels because you would have to wait until the afternoon to get a towel, if there were any left. -the "pool bathrooms" were NOT convenient. They are none located in the actual pool area you have to walk up two flights of stairs and go inside the building and down a hallway to get to the restroom. This is not convenient at all especially if you have a 5 yo that waits to the last minute to say she has to pee. -there was never anyone around the pool area to assist with umbrellas or anything else. Don't expect someone to come to you and take your order you have to go and stand in line. -my hotel room door bolt did not lock efficiently. I found out from maintenance I had to push the door back and forth and jiggle the lock to lock it. He tried tell me that no one could come in but im a single woman with two girls I want all my locks to work. -dinner at their restaurant was not good at all and overpriced.

Had a great weekend stay at The Ellie! Our family had an amazing time! The oceanfront view was wonderful and the pool deck was so fun! All of us enjoyed the pool slides, pool DJ and the pool foam party! Being able to walk right onto the beach was so convenient. Carrie at the Front Desk and Jeff at the Lobby Bar were so friendly and answered all of our questions. Our room on the 4th floor had a great view and the two king beds in the room gave everyone lots of space. The room was also spotless and super clean. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We hope to be back soon. The only heads up is this an exterior hallway type property, but it has recently been renovated and looks brand-new with a cute retro-vibe decor. We loved it!
