Not worth the price or location. Check in was a joke and nobody in our party got their rooms until 8pm. The online check in function was useless as nobody got notifications their room was ready. We all physically had to go to front desk and ask if there were any rooms ready. Room was hot, cramped and bed was too soft. Understood it’s an old hotel but pay some money for updates. Room was dirty and not well cleaned. Hair all over bathroom. No hot water on second morning made for cold showers. Spend your money elsewhere this is not the hotel to choose for a comfortable stay in SF.

"Come for the Cocktails, Stay for Alex!! 🍸✨"

I ducked into Barnes Restaurant and Bar inside Tapestry Collection by Hilton on one of those freezing, rainy SF days just wanting a drink and a place to warm up. I went alone and honestly, Alex completely made my day. He’s the kind of bartender who makes you feel like you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. Attentive without hovering, easy to talk to, incredibly knowledgeable, and clearly so talented at what he does. I never once felt “alone” sitting there. He created such a comfortable, welcoming vibe and made sure I genuinely enjoyed my time. Truly exceptional service. He feels like the face of the place! I ordered the Caesar Salad with Chicken (super fresh, creamy, perfectly done) and the Buffalo Wings (crispy, flavorful, just the right kick). Paired it with the Buena Vista, gorgeous cocktail and absolutely one of their signatures for a reason. If you go, sit at the bar. And if Alex is working, you’re in the best hands! Happy Travels!

"Super Bowl Weekend Trip"
TripAdvisor user rating 5.0 out of 5
Reviewed February 07, 2026
I stayed at this hotel during Super Bowl weekend. There were so many people staying in the city which usually means customer service suffers but that wasn’t the case here. I was greeted at the front desk by Francisco. He helped me get the best room available and helped me extend my room an extra night when I decided to stay longer. The room itself was comfortable and clean. The bartenders at night were really cool and kept the drinks flowing. Overall a great experience.

The service I received from Carmen, and from Francisco, was excellent. Carmen was helpful the entire time, even before I got there. She was really pleasant on the telephone.
